  My trip to Zhangjiajie was great and very memorable. Ander had arranged a trip previously for me to Huangshan. That trip was great so I was very happy to deal with Ander again. He is polite, very responsive and trustworthy. I made a last minute change to the schedule of my trip to Zhangjiajie and Ander handled it all professionally. Exceptional service from Ander again. When I arrived in Zhangjiajie I was met by my guide Yeena. She is a delightful young lady. Yeena greeted me with a gift which was very kind. During my time in Zhangjiajie I found Yeena to be helpful, cheerful and great company. 10 out of 10 for Yeena. Highly recommended. I don't usually have a guide in China unless what I want to do is too difficult for a non Mandarin speaker to organise. Everything was just so well organised and easy for me on this trip. I am very glad Yeena was my guide in Zhangjiajie. I couldn't have asked for more on this trip.Show more

  We visited Shanghai, Hangzhou and Zhangjiajie in June 2025. We visited 3 locations in 2 weeks. In Hangzhou, we also visited West Lake and one of the tea plantations. The local cuisines and landscape were amazing. We also visited Song Dynasty Town and watched Songcheng show. We had an incredible experience.Show more

  I first went on an Odynovo trip in Japan back in 2019 and it was amazing. When I found out they got their start with China tours, I figured why not book one there too. It didn't let me down and felt so authentic. They took care of every detail and I felt like a VIP the whole time. Our guide was on top of everything and happily met all our requests. Our guide David even added some extra fun. We got a dumpling making lesson from a local host. The lineup was exactly what I wanted and the price was good. I went all in their culture and chatted with locals way more than I ever expected. Fun trip. One more quick tip for China: grab WeChat or Alipay and get comfortable with its payment features.Show more

  Being in China for a science conference, I was hoping to do some sightseeing but didn't feel comfortable exploring on my own without speaking the language. Thankfully a colleague suggested I reached out to Anders at Odynovo. He was most helpful at organizing a short private tour, which was absolutely fantastic. Having a private car and a highly knowledgeable and friendly guide, Ms. Dina Zhang, made it super-easy to tour the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace in Beijing and traveled to the Great Wall, all wonderful places. Thanks to Dina - who is also a great photographer - I have lots of beautiful pictures of me in these locations to remind me of a very special trip.Show more

  The start of this trip was instantly made easy by the speedy response and quick changes that Joy at Odynovo did, without any hassle. We sent over our tight schedule, demanding list and different flight plans so we could meet in Beijing - and she arranged everything. In Beijing we got to see 3 of the sights we wanted, and let them arrange some extra visits that we'd enjoy and they succeeded 100% The travel and hotels in Xian, Chengdu and Shanghai followed suit by being spot on. We really enjoyed the full service that was offered with everything from walking us to the train door, helping us order food and even collecting us at 9pm on the final day.Show more

  The tour was fantastic. I booked this for my friends from Texas because I was unable to be with them the whole time and really needed an English speaker to help take them around. Wade was able to book them with some great guides. He was also able to squeeze me into the weekend events. I felt this was a great find as Wade was able to communicate clearly and process things quickly.Show more

  We absolutely loved the Odynovo tour from Beijing to Shanghai, seeing the many magnificent sites of Beijing, including my bucket-list Great Wall, incredible terracotta warriors in Xi'an enjoyed the picturesque Guilin and (despite the drizzle) a beautiful and relaxing morning Li River cruise. The Yangtze River cruise though was a lot of fun (meeting other travellers, singing karaoke, consuming an awesome buffet, while appreciating this diverse countryside and marvelling at what is an engineering masterpiece - the three gorges dam was really interesting. Shanghai was quite the contrast, so worthwhile. It’s was a busy tour with a very early morning start one day (3:45am to make a flight), but all of the flights, trains and local guides were incredibly prompt. If you have more time, do it. Booking a tour like the one we did, took all of the stress out of being in a (largely) non-English speaking country.Show more
