    Your guide meets you this morning to explore Beijing's historical center. You'll walk through Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, then hike up to Jingshan Park where you get panoramic views over the city. After lunch at a local restaurant, head to Back Lakes to walk around Nanluoguxiang Alley and sit down at a tea house. Your evening is free if you want to catch a night show or grab Peking duck dinner.

You'll stop by a jade store afterward, then drive out to Mutianyu Great Wall for a half-day visit. Choose between hiking or taking a cable car up, and you can try the toboggan ride down if you want. Your evening is open for options like a foot massage, night bars, or other activities.

You'll take a boat ride on Kunming Lake and have lunch at a local spot. Later, you'll transfer to the high-speed train to Xi'an, which takes about 5.5 hours. Your Xi'an guide will be waiting at the station to take you to your hotel.

    Start exploring Xi'an at the Terracotta Warriors, one of the world's most significant archaeological sites. You'll visit a pottery factory to try making your own figurine. After lunch, check out the Bell Tower, then head to Gao's Courtyard to learn about paper-cutting and shadow puppetry traditions. Spend some time shopping and sampling snacks in the Muslim Quarter. Evening entertainment is available if you want it, though that's at your own expense.

Do an orientation walk on the Bund, once a major foreign trade hub. Visit Yuyuan Garden, a traditional Chinese garden downtown. After lunch at a local restaurant, head to the Jade Buddha Temple and silk museum. End up in Lujiazui CBD, Shanghai's newest area, for coffee and a break by the Riverside Promenade. Climb Shanghai Tower, the city's tallest building, for views across the city. Evening entertainment is optional if you want it.
