You'll arrive in Beijing and head straight to your hotel for check-in. After that, the rest of the day is yours to recover from your flight and rest up however you'd like.

Your guide meets you this morning to explore Beijing's historical center. You'll walk through Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, then hike up to Jingshan Park where you get panoramic views over the city. After lunch at a local restaurant, head to Back Lakes to walk around Nanluoguxiang Alley and sit down at a tea house. Your evening is free if you want to catch a night show or grab Peking duck dinner.

Beijing
Start early to reach the Temple of Heaven and watch locals doing morning exercises, kung fu, tai chi, and square dancing. You'll stop by a jade store afterward, then drive out to Mutianyu Great Wall for a half-day visit. Choose between hiking or taking a cable car up, and you can try the toboggan ride down if you want. Your evening is open for options like a foot massage, night bars, or other activities.

Beijing to Xi'an
This morning in Beijing is yours to move at a slower pace before heading to the Summer Palace, China's largest imperial garden. You'll take a boat ride on Kunming Lake and have lunch at a local spot. Later, you'll transfer to the high-speed train to Xi'an, which takes about 5.5 hours. Your Xi'an guide will be waiting at the station to take you to your hotel.

Xi'an
Start exploring Xi'an at the Terracotta Warriors, one of the world's most significant archaeological sites. You'll visit a pottery factory to try making your own figurine. After lunch, check out the Bell Tower, then head to Gao's Courtyard to learn about paper-cutting and shadow puppetry traditions. Spend some time shopping and sampling snacks in the Muslim Quarter. Evening entertainment is available if you want it, though that's at your own expense.

Xi'an to Guilin
After checking out, you'll have a relaxed morning in Xi'an before visiting the Ancient City Wall (you can bike or take a sightseeing car). See the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and its fountain show, then head to the airport with a stop at Hanyang Mausoleum. You'll fly to Guilin where your local guide meets you for the transfer to your hotel.

Guilin to Yangshuo
Your guide gets you on board a deluxe Li River cruise with buffet lunch served on the boat. You'll cruise downstream to Yangshuo surrounded by fairy-tale scenery, then explore West Street or take a sightseeing car. In the afternoon, go on a leisurely bike ride around the Yulong River area to take in the countryside and clear waters. You'll return to Guilin for the evening, and there's an optional night cruise on Li River if you're interested (at your own cost).

Guilin to Chongqing
Meet your guide to explore Guilin's natural sites including Reed Flute Cave with its striking stalactites and stalagmites. You'll visit a pearl store, then see Elephant Trunk Hill, Guilin's iconic landmark, and walk along the Li River to check out the Golden and Silver Twin Pagodas. In the afternoon, take the high-speed train to Chongqing and board the Victoria cruise at Chaotianmen wharf. The ship departs at 9:00 p.m.

Yangtze River Cruise
You'll start with early coffee and tea followed by tai chi on deck, then grab a buffet breakfast. In the morning, take a shore excursion to Fengdu Shuanguishan National Park, or pay extra to visit Fengdu Ghost City instead. Have buffet lunch on the ship. Later in the afternoon, attend the Captain's Welcome Reception with buffet dinner. The evening offers an optional shore excursion to see 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' show, though that costs extra.

Yangtze River Cruise
Wake early for coffee and tea with tai chi practice on the upper deck, followed by buffet breakfast. In the morning, you can optionally visit White Emperor City for 295 RMB per person. The ship sails through the scenic Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. You'll have buffet lunch on board. The afternoon brings a shore excursion to Goddess Stream or Shennong Stream depending on river conditions. Tonight features the Captain's Farewell Banquet with set-menu dinner and crew performance. Make sure to settle any additional bills before midnight.

Have a buffet breakfast early, then disembark at Mapping cruise terminal. Take a shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Site and visit the passenger center in downtown Yichang. Later, board the high-speed train to Shanghai. Your Shanghai guide will meet you at the station and take you to your hotel.

Your guide takes you to explore old and new Shanghai. You'll walk through Shikumen, historic alleyways where people still live, blending Western and Chinese traditions. Do an orientation walk on the Bund, once a major foreign trade hub. Visit Yuyuan Garden, a traditional Chinese garden downtown. After lunch at a local restaurant, head to the Jade Buddha Temple and silk museum. End up in Lujiazui CBD, Shanghai's newest area, for coffee and a break by the Riverside Promenade. Climb Shanghai Tower, the city's tallest building, for views across the city. Evening entertainment is optional if you want it.
