Itinerary
- Day 1
Tralee
You'll arrive in Tralee and settle into your B&B. If you have time before dinner, head out on the Tralee to Fenit Greenway to get comfortable with your hire bike. Fenit's a small fishing village worth seeing, with its blue flag beach and St. Brendan statue giving you views across the peninsula. Back in town later, grab dinner at a local restaurant or catch a show at Siamsa Tire if that appeals to you.

Tralee to Killarney
You'll cycle south-east from Tralee toward Killarney, taking quiet back roads with views of Carrauntoohill along the way. The route goes through Fossa village and follows the Fossa Way cycle path through Killarney National Park before reaching the lakeside town. If you're interested, there's an optional circular detour to see Muckross Abbey and Muckross House with its Victorian gardens. That evening, try some local beer and grab dinner in town.

- Day 3
Killarney to Kenmare
From Killarney, you'll head down via the Fossa Way to the Gap of Dunloe, cycling between lakes with good views from the top. After that, the route descends into the Black Valley, one of Ireland's last areas that wasn't connected to electricity for a long time. Then you'll continue on to Kenmare, a historic town with Georgian buildings, a range of restaurants and pubs, live music spots, and local craft shops.

Kenmare to Eyeries
Starting from Kenmare, you'll cross Ireland's first modernized suspension bridge and then follow the shoreline of Kenmare Bay with water views alongside you. The route turns inland through Gleninchaquinn Valley, and you can stop to see the Irenean Uragh Stone Circle if you want (it dates back 3300-1200 BC). There's also an optional detour to Gleninchaquinn Nature Park if you're up for checking out a waterfall and some walking routes. After that, you'll take the winding coastal route to Eyeries, a quiet village.

Eyeries to Castletownbere
You'll head west toward Dursey Sound. If it interests you, there's a chance to take Ireland's only cable car out to Dursey Island, leaving your bike on the mainland. From there, the main route goes east to Castletownbere, a busy fishing port with traditional pubs and restaurants where the seafood is fresh.

Castletownbere to Glengarriff
There's an option to add 14 km with a bike crossing to Bere Island via ferry (costs aren't included and support might be limited). The main route cycles east through Adrigole along the coast to Glengarriff, a quiet village with a natural harbor. You'll find scenic walks around town and there's an optional water cab to Garnish Island, which has nice gardens to explore.

Glengarriff to Kenmare
This route takes you inland through rugged mountain and valley terrain, and it includes some tough climbs like the historic Caha Pass. That pass was built back in the 19th century as part of a famine relief effort to provide work for struggling locals. Stop at Bonane Heritage Park to see exhibitions and learn about local history. Then you'll cycle downriver and finish in Kenmare.
