Hanoi
Your private driver picks you up at Hanoi airport and takes you to your hotel near the Old Quarter. After settling in, you can either rest from the flight or start wandering around the neighborhood at your own pace. The Old Quarter sits right at your doorstep whenever you're ready to check it out.

- Day 2
Hanoi
A group tour covers Hanoi's cultural sites starting at Tran Quoc Pagoda, Vietnam's oldest from the 6th century on Golden Fish Island in West Lake. From there you'll see the Ho Chi Minh Complex with his mausoleum and residences, then the distinctive One Pillar Pagoda. After lunch with authentic Vietnamese dishes, you'll walk through the Vietnam Ethnology Museum (or Women's Museum if it's Monday), the Temple of Literature from 1070, and Hoa Lo Prison which now serves as a war museum. Back to your hotel by evening.

- Day 3
Hanoi to Ninh Binh
Head out early at 7:30 AM toward Ninh Binh province, about 120 km away. After a quick break, you'll check out Hoa Lu, Vietnam's ancient capital, with its well-preserved 17th-century temples for King Dinh and King Le. Lunch features regional specialties at a local spot. Then comes a peaceful 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride through Tam Coc with rice fields, rivers, and caves all around. Later, a 45-minute bike ride through the village shows you local life. The drive back reaches Hanoi around 6:30 PM.

- Day 4
Hanoi to Halong Bay
After breakfast, check out and head for Halong Bay. The cruise team meets you at your hotel between 8:00 and 9:00 AM (exact time confirmed the day before). You'll reach the jetty around noon and board. Following welcome and check-in, lunch happens as the boat moves through hundreds of islets. The afternoon lets you swim, kayak, visit caves depending on the boat's plan, or just relax on board. By evening you'll anchor in a nice spot, watch the sunset, and have dinner.

- Day 5
Halong Bay to Hoi An
Watch sunrise over Halong while eating breakfast as the cruise heads back to port. An early lunch comes before disembarking. Your driver takes you to Hanoi airport for your flight to Hoi An. After arriving, you're transferred to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is yours to spend however you like.

- Day 6
Hoi An
Spend the day exploring Hoi An on your own terms. Rent a bike at the hotel and head toward the riverside or beach. Relax at a beachside café with fresh fruit drinks and swim in the warm, calm water. Pop into a local tailor shop to order custom clothing, bags, or shoes made overnight. In the evening, walk through the Old Town when shops turn on their lanterns for a fairy-tale atmosphere. Catch colorful street performances happening around town.

Enjoy your last bit of time in Hoi An before your driver takes you to Da Nang airport. Fly to Ho Chi Minh City and upon landing at Tan Son Nhat, your driver picks you up and brings you to your city center hotel. Your time after arrival is free to do whatever you want.

- Day 8
Ho Chi Minh City
Spend the morning at Independence Palace, built by architect Ngo Viet Thu on the former Norodom Palace site. Walk past French Colonial buildings like Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. Check out the War Remnants Museum with its displays on the Indochina wars. After lunch, take a bus 1.5 hours to Cu Chi Tunnels. Watch a video about tunnel construction and wartime life, then explore the tunnel systems with living areas, kitchens, bedrooms, weapons factories, hospitals, and command centers. See hidden trap doors and security traps. Try special tea and cassava, the food guerrillas ate during wartime. An optional shooting range is available. Return to Ho Chi Minh by evening.

- Day 9
Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta
Leave Ho Chi Minh City heading to My Tho on the left side of the Mekong River. Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda from the late 19th century. Board a sampan and cruise past four islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise. Stop at Unicorn Island to walk country lanes, check out orchards, try tropical fruits, and hear traditional folk music. See a fruit plantation and take a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son Canal for quiet countryside views. Tour a family honeybee farm, drink honey tea, and watch coconut candy being made. Lunch happens at a local restaurant. The afternoon includes biking around Tan Thach Village where you'll meet locals and experience daily Mekong life. Hammocks are available if you'd rather relax. Return to Ho Chi Minh.
