I'm interested in taking this trip in January but I have a couple of questions I hope you could help me with. If I purchase the private room upgrade would that also apply to the sleeper train? Also, when would I be able to purchase add-ons such as visiting the Cu Chi tunnels, Angkor Watt, etc?

This tour is a Roamies tour, meaning that we are only using hostels (sharing the room with 4-8 other travellers), single occupancy is not an option for this tour. There is an option of booking the twin/double room, where you will share with 1 other traveller only of the same gender. The following activities can be booked at time of booking or after booking: Caving in Phong Nha, Hue Motorbike Tour, Phare Circus. Other optional activities are recommendations and can be booked on tour!

Since many of the activities and meals are not included, how much money do you suggest that travelers bring to this trip for those expenses?

In terms of budget, it is at the discretion of travellers however for 27 days in SE Asia, around 500 USD would be comfortably enough.

Is participation limited to age range posted for a specific trip? For example, can someone in their fifties go on tours for ages 18-35?

If so, can a supplement be paid for the overnight train for two people (couple), or is it strictly four to a cabin?

  Are there secure areas in the hostels, etc. where I would be able to leave my bag if I were to go on an excursion? It would be my first time doing a trip like this so I'm not sure how everything works.
