Itinerary
- Day 1
Lake Bled to Lake Bohinj
Your bike adventure kicks off with a morning briefing, then you'll head out from Lake Bled toward Lake Bohinj on the Gravel Epic Event trail. The ride takes you along beautiful roads next to the Sava Bohinjka river, and you'll cross the Jelovica plateau with views opening up across Bohinj Valley and the Julian Alps. Later, you descend on excellent gravel roads that bring you right to the lake, wrapping up a solid introduction to the route.

- Day 2
Lake Bohinj to Tolmin
After breakfast, you're cycling from Lake Bohinj to Tolmin through the southern Julian Alps. This leg passes by remote villages and farms as you make your way through the landscape. The route then descends into the Soča river valley, which you'll recognize by its striking emerald color. It's a longer day and more demanding than the first, so this one's better suited for riders with some experience under their belt.

- Day 3
Tolmin to Breginj
Today brings a challenging ride through high mountains above the Soča River with Mount Krn looming below you. You'll descend back down to the beautiful emerald-colored river, cross it, and then connect to the westernmost part of Slovenia through remote mountain terrain. It's technical riding through some genuinely remote country.

Landmarks Mount Krn Sočá River - Day 4
Breginj to Resiutta
Starting from Slovenia's westernmost area, you're cycling to Italy through the remote Rezija valley. The route takes you over Kobariški Stol mountain, which is well-known in the region, and the landscapes here are really something else. You'll finish the day in Resiutta on the Italian side of the border.

Resiutta to Kranjska Gora
This ride carries you through the western Julian Alps with mountain scenery surrounding you the whole time. You'll pass through the valleys of Dogna and Valbruna, though there's also an alternative route via Riofreddo valley if conditions or preference call for it. Either way, you'll end with a descent into the Sava River valley back in Slovenia.

Kranjska Gora to Lake Bled
Your final ride follows the Sava river valley on the eastern side of the Julian Alps. From there, you'll climb to the Karavanke mountains on the Slovenian mountain trail, and the Alpine views here are really worth soaking in. A pleasant descent through the Gorenjska Plain follows, and you'll finish in the historic old town of Radovljica before heading back to Lake Bled.
