    Do the food options for this trip accommodate gluten-free travelers?

      CIE is able to make the gluten-free dietary request, however, while hotels throughout Europe offer a wide variety of foods, we cannot guarantee all requests and it is a good idea to double check once you are in your tour hotel. A full hot breakfast with a wide variety of selections is included at your hotel each morning. Lunch is sometimes included, but more often you will be at leisure to go where you like. Many dinners are included where you will eat with your group either in the hotel or at a local restaurant. All included dinners are three-course meals with a choice of appetizer, entrée and dessert, with tea or coffee included. Most hotels and restaurants feature a good assortment of poultry, meat, fish and vegetarian options and you will be given choices at all meals. Depending on your meal and the tour, wine or beer may be included or will be available for purchase. For lunches or dinners where you will be dining independently, your Tour Director can give you tips on options in your location.

    My sister is not up to climbing a lot of stairs and long daily walks. She can walk to things nearby and climb 4-5 steps when needed but not long staircases. Will she be able to enjoy this trip?

      Please reread my question. I would like you to clarify what is meant by "visit" for each of the landmarks. Do we just pause for photos? Go inside buildings to explore on our own? Or is there a guided tour at the visit stop?

      If it states visit, then you will be going and visiting that attraction. For example, on Day 3: Visit prehistoric Stonehenge and marvel at the vast monoliths mysteriously erected 5,000 years ago. This means you will be going and visiting the site.

      Our 2023 dates are live and available to book. For the Gems of Southern England tour we have two departure dates in May of 2023. May 6- May 13, a large group departure. Or May 20- May 27, a small group departure. Large group departures have a maximum of 44 passengers on a 48 seater bus, and the small groups is maximum 26 passengers on a 48 seater bus.
