Delhi
You'll get picked up at the airport and head to your hotel. Once you're settled in, there's a half-day guided tour of Old and New Delhi on the schedule. The tour takes in Humayun's Tomb, Qutub Minar, and Jama Masjid, so you'll see some of the city's main historical spots right away.

After breakfast, you'll drive out to Mandawa in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. It's a good drive, and you'll roll in during the evening. Check in to your hotel and settle for the night.

Mandawa
Following breakfast, a guided tour takes you through Mandawa. You'll see Mukundgarh Fort and Nawalgarh Fort, then spend time at the Dundlod Havelis. These are traditional mansions built by the Marwari business community, and they're decorated with intricate paintings and frescos throughout.

Mandawa to Khimsar
After breakfast, you'll drive toward Khimsar and its 16th-century fort that sits right on the edge of the Great Thar Desert. The fort's now a heritage hotel that was converted back in 1979. It kept its original architecture while expanding from just 7 or 8 rooms to 71, so there's history mixed with modern comfort here.

Khimsar to Rohet
You'll head to Rohet after breakfast and check into a heritage fort hotel. During the afternoon, a jeep safari takes you out to explore the Rabari and Bishnoi villages nearby. You get to see traditional rural life in the region this way.

Rohet to Ranakpur
After breakfast, the drive takes you to Ranakpur in the Aravali Valley. There you'll visit the Jain temple, which is one of India's holiest Jain sites and known for detailed friezes and sculptures. As evening arrives, Garasia dancers perform, so you can experience local cultural traditions.

Kumbhalgarh - Ranakpur
Following breakfast, you'll visit the temples of Nagda and Eklingji, then head to Kumbhalgarh Fort, which is massive and nearly impregnable. A horse safari lets you explore the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary. By evening you'll return to Ranakpur for the night.

Ranakpur to Sardargarh
After breakfast, you'll check out and drive to Sardargarh. Once you arrive and get settled in, there's time to relax before visiting Sardargarh Fort and Manohar Sagar. The fort was built between 1738 and 1743 by Sardar Singh and functions as a heritage hotel now.

Sardargarh
You'll take a 44 km narrow-gauge train ride connecting two villages, traveling alongside local passengers through countryside. The historic track dates to 1928 and runs along a cliff side. Along the way you'll cross 100-foot-high bridges, pass through tunnels, and see waterfalls and thick jungle. At GoramGhat there's a stop to watch monkeys from the scrub jungle nearby. The return trip back to Sardargarh is by car.

Bijaipur

Bharatpur to Agra
You'll leave Bharatpur for Agra, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri on the way. This red sandstone city was built by Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century as his capital and palace. Upon reaching Agra, explore Fort Agra to understand the Mughal Empire's history, visit Mehtab Bagh, and end the day at the Taj Mahal at sunset.

Agra to Gwalior

Panna National Park - Khajuraho
An early morning drive takes you to Panna National Park in the Vindhya Hills along the Ken River. You'll arrive around 6 AM for an early jungle safari through a giant plateau with tropical forest, cascading waterfalls, thick teak forest, and one of the country's best tiger reserves. After breakfast, you'll explore the jungle more before heading back to Khajuraho in the evening.
