Itinerary
- Day 1
San Jose
You'll land in Costa Rica and meet your representative at the airport who handles everything for you. A private car takes you to your San Jose hotel where you can check in and settle in whenever you're ready. The rest of the day is yours to rest up after traveling.

- Day 2
San Jose to Sarapiqui
After breakfast at the hotel, you'll get picked up around 10 am for the drive to Sarapiqui. That afternoon, an expert guide takes you on a naturalist hike through the rainforest where you could see monkeys, toucans, poison dart frogs, and lots of bird species. Back at the hotel for dinner.

Landmarks Sarapiqui region - Day 3
Sarapiqui to Arenal
Breakfast comes first, then you have free time to hang out by the pool if you want. After lunch at the lodge, you're picked up around 12 pm for the transfer to La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano area. You can explore on your own or just relax at your hotel once you get there.

- Day 4
Arenal
An early 5:15 am start gets you to a natural park for birdwatching with an expert guide. You'll spend about 4 hours hiking through the rainforest spotting Great Kiskadees, Tropical Kingbirds, and Montezuma Orioles before returning for breakfast. Later you transfer to El Silencio Private Reserve for a guided hike to a volcano viewpoint where you can see the Green Lagoon and Lake Arenal.

Arenal to Dota
After breakfast you check out around 9 am and head to Dota, a mountain village near Los Quetzales National Park. The setting offers great wilderness with interesting plants and wildlife throughout. Your afternoon is open to wander around or enjoy what the lodge has to offer.

Landmarks Los Quetzales National Park Talamanca Mountain Range - Day 6
Dota
You'll wake up around 5:30 am to join a guide exploring the cloud forest looking for quetzals. The walk is only 1.5 km and takes about 2 hours with a professional guide who brings a spotting scope and bird guide. The rest of your day is free to relax or try optional activities.
