The only thing I would like to improve was the advance notification to the participants about the extra tickets we would need to book way in advance, for example: Al Qazar in Seville, Al Hambra's Nasrid Palaces in Granada, Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, etc. Obviously we would feel sorry not to visit those places due to no tickets available, while we were assuming it's all included in the package. My suggestions would be putting all of those extra excursions up front, and the tour operator could offer it to book in advance and organize it. The visit to Mesquita of Cordoba was also too short where we could not even have the chance to take pictures inside. The trip to Malaga and Montserrat should have been put as extra excursion of the package as it was very challenging to arrange it by our own at the very last minute. Overall, I'm still enjoying this tour very much and thank you for all the wonderful tour guides and bus drivers who had done a very good job!Show more

The additional tours were fun and more informative than running in town on your own, highly recommend it. Cons: VPT bus had limited or no WiFi. Bus had no restroom. VPT tour guide tried her best to provide information about the locations but couldn’t be understood due to the lack of English translation and was flipping from Spanish to English with limited translations. VPT guide was not informative guide information. We had to keep asking questions about location information to include hotel info and local information for interested shopping. Overall I would recommend Highlights of Spain & Portugal but I would go with another travel agent not VPT.Show more

Itinerary was great - there were a few spots (Trujillo and Cáceres) that I wish we had had more time in. They were designated lunch stops, but they were very interesting and we didn’t get to explore them much at all.It was a little disconcerting to have people join up and leave at several stops, until we were the ones who left and joined another group. Had not understood that this would be how the tour was conducted. Felt like a hop on hop off local trolley tour. Was disappointing in that. We were not able to establish as cohesive a group as we could have.Show more
