- Day 1
Overnight Flight to Muscat
Your journey kicks off with an overnight flight heading to Muscat, Oman's capital. You'll touch down the next morning and be ready to start exploring right away.

Muscat
After settling into your hotel, you'll check out Muscat's main attractions. The Sultan Qaboos Mosque impresses with its architecture, while the PDO Museum covers the region's oil and gas industry. You'll also see the Sultan's Palace from outside, then walk through Muttrah's souk where spice aromas fill the narrow streets. Later, the Muttrah Trek takes you above the city for coastal views.

- Day 3
Muscat to Sur
Following breakfast, you'll drive along rugged coastline toward Sur, stopping at Wadi Shab for a moderate hike through a unique landscape. Once in Sur, you'll visit a dhow shipyard to see traditional boat building methods. If interested, you can book an optional turtle-watching trip at Ras Al Jinz for the evening.

Sur to Wahiba Desert
Heading inland, you'll reach Wadi Bani Khalid where natural water pools await. There's an option to hike further to Muqal Cave if you want. Then you'll transfer to a four-wheel drive and head into the Wahiba Desert, covering 12,500 square kilometers of golden dunes. At your desert camp, you'll learn how Bedouins make traditional coffee, enjoy sunset tea with snacks, and spend the night under the stars.

Wahiba Desert to Nizwa
Start early with a sunrise hike across the dunes, then have breakfast before leaving. You'll explore Birkat al-Mauz oasis with its green date plantations and the ancient Falaj irrigation system (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Next, you'll drive up to Jebel Akhdar Mountains at 2,000 meters/6,562 feet, hike through mountain villages, then descend to Nizwa. The old souk here is known for silver jewelry and pottery.

- Day 6
Nizwa to Jebel Shams
You'll hike through Misfah village, taking in terraced fields built into steep slopes. After a photo stop at Al Hamra's old clay structures, an off-road vehicle takes you to Jebel Shams. From the 2,000-meter/6,562-foot plateau, you'll see a dramatic 1,000-meter/3,281-foot gorge that locals call Oman's Grand Canyon. A hike leads to an abandoned village where the canyon rock formations dominate the view.

- Day 7
Jebel Shams to Muscat
After breakfast, you'll return to the valley and drive through Wadi Bani Awf, passing the mountain village of Bilad Sayt. You'll take a leisurely walk around this beautiful village and its surroundings, then head back toward the coast. By evening you'll be relaxing at your beach hotel in Muscat.
