Vientiane
Your private guide and driver meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel in Vientiane. After you settle in, the rest of the day is yours to do what you like, whether that's heading out to walk around the city or just relaxing at the hotel.

Vientiane
Following breakfast, your guide takes you through Vientiane's main Buddhist temples and cultural landmarks. You'll see the National Museum to understand Laotian history, then check out Wat Si Saket with its detailed wood carvings and Ho Phra Keo Temple. After that you'll visit Pha That Luang, the country's most sacred temple, and stop at Patuxai Monument. In the afternoon, head to Buddha Park to see statues of Buddhist and Hindu deities before heading back to your hotel.

- Day 3
Vientiane - Phou Hin Poun National Park - Ban Tiou Village
After breakfast, you'll drive 2 hours along Road 13 with a quick stop at Wat Phabath Phonsanh, a local pilgrimage site. Then continue another 3 hours to Phou Hin Poun National Protected Area. Walk up to the viewing platform to see the limestone peaks and landscape, with the tallest reaching 1,500 meters. Later, drive to Ban Tiou Village and check into your resort.

Ban Tiou Village
After breakfast, your guide takes you on a sampan boat through Kong Lor Cave, the highlight of Phou Hin Poun National Park. You'll put on a headlamp and board the sampan as the boatman navigates through the underground passage, avoiding rocks and rapids while water drips from above. Stop at small rocky areas to walk around, then pass through to the other side and visit local villages before returning to your hotel.

Ban Tiou Village - Savannakhet
Following breakfast, visit Mahaxai Caves where you'll see Buddha figures and explore several cave chambers. One cave has lots of sparrows, another has an emerald pool connected to a Hindu deity, and a third contains Buddhist altars used by monks. You might see bats in the deeper sections. Then drive 4 hours to Savannakhet for your hotel check-in.

Savannakhet - Pakse
After breakfast, your guide and driver take you on a 4.5 to 5 hour private drive to Pakse. The highway is flat and paved, so you'll have good views of rice fields, rolling mountains, and the Mekong River along the way. Once you arrive and get to your hotel, you can spend the evening relaxing or walking around the city.

- Day 7
Pakse
After breakfast, explore the Bolaven Plateau, one of Laos' well-known natural areas. Start with Tad Lo Waterfall in Tadlo Village where you'll often see local women washing clothes and children playing with monks. Then go to Tad Yuang Waterfall, where people sometimes sit and meditate under the water. Next, head to Tad Fane Waterfalls, a twin waterfall with a 120-meter drop. End with a visit to a tea plantation or coffee farm before heading back to your hotel.

Pakse - Don Khong
After breakfast, visit Vat Phou Temple Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site from the 10th to 13th centuries. The Khmer temple complex covers a large area and offers views of distant mountains, lakes, and settlements. Then take a short boat ride to Tomo Village on the Mekong River's eastern bank to see Oum Muong Forest Temple. Finally, drive 3 hours to your hotel in Don Khong.

- Day 9
Don Khong
After breakfast, take a cruise around the 4,000 Islands, which includes three main islands: Don Khong to the north and Don Det and Don Khon to the south. Start by visiting Liphi Waterfalls on Don Khon's west side, then explore Ban Khone Fisherman Village to see how locals live. On the way back, drive to the Laos-Cambodia border at Weukham to see Khone Phapheng Falls, Southeast Asia's largest waterfall. Then drive 2.5 hours back to your hotel in Pakse.
