Shanghai
You arrive in Shanghai where a tour representative meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel. After checking in, the rest of your day is open. You can wander around your neighborhood, grab dinner somewhere nearby, or just settle in and relax after traveling.

Shanghai
Your local guide leads you through Shanghai's main sights. You'll walk along the Bund overlooking the Huangpu River, then head to Yuyuan Garden (or City God Temple if Yuyuan's closed on Mondays). From there, you'll see Xintiandi in the former French Colony and visit the Jade Buddha Temple. The mix of historic and modern architecture really shows how the city's changed over time.

Shanghai to Zhangjiajie
You'll fly from Shanghai to Zhangjiajie and transfer to your hotel once you land. Zhangjiajie is famous for its national park with those incredible rock formations. If your flight gets in early enough, you might visit Tianmen Mountain today instead of waiting until Day 5.

- Day 4
Zhangjiajie
After about an hour's drive, you reach Zhangjiajie National Park. Take the super elevator up to Yuanjiajie top for those views that inspired Avatar. Then move on to Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve to see the Sea of Clouds and other natural features. You'll take an electric train one way through Shilihualang (10-Mile-Gallery) and walk back for roughly 30 minutes.

- Day 5
Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang
Head to Tianmen Mountain and walk toward the Gateway of Heaven with its glass walkway. The Tianmen Mountain Cableway takes you through Tongtian Avenue, the cave, temple, and other spots including the Ghost-valley plank road. After coming down via the world's longest cableway, you'll catch a fast train to Fenghuang's old town. Evening walks here show off the historic wooden houses beautifully lit along the Tuo River.

Fenghuang to Tongren
You'll drive about 2 hours to Mt Fanjing, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A cable car takes you partway up, then you walk to see the Golden Summit, Yuejing Mountain, Sleeping Buddha, Mushroom Stone, and other natural features. After exploring, you transfer to your hotel in Tongren for the night.

Tongren to Huaihua
The 2.5-hour ride takes you to Hongjiang Old Town in Huaihua. This place has over 3,000 years of history and was once a major trading port. It served as a center for political, military, economic, religious, and cultural activity in west Hunan, earning nicknames like 'little Chongqing' and 'pearl of west Hunan.'

Huaihua to Longji
After a 4-hour drive covering 266 kilometers from Huaihua, you arrive at Longji Rice Terraces. In the afternoon, you'll walk through the rice terraces around PingAn and Dazhai villages. Each season shows different colors and patterns in the terraces, so the views shift depending on when you visit.

Longji to Yangshuo
The 3-hour drive from Longji brings you to Yangshuo, a karst mountain town with great scenery. Later in the afternoon, you'll take a boat tour on the Li River, which you'll see has the kind of landscape you've probably seen in paintings.

Yangshuo
You'll bike through Yangshuo's countryside to see the Yulong River and its surrounding landscape. Then climb Xiong Gong Mount for high views of the Li River valley below. After that, visit a tea plantation to learn how tea leaves are processed and made.

Yangshuo - Guilin - Hong Kong
A representative picks you up and takes you to Guilin Railway Station where you'll board the bullet train heading to Hong Kong. The 4-hour journey gives you time to relax and watch the landscape change. Once you arrive in Hong Kong, your local rep handles the transfer to your hotel for check-in. After that, you have the evening free to get oriented and explore around your hotel area.

This is your departure day. You can leave for the airport whenever you're ready and cover the cost yourself. Hotel checkout happens at noon, so plan accordingly for your flight.
