Itinerary
- Day 1
Delhi
After pickup from central Delhi, you'll check in and rest at your hotel before heading into Old Delhi. A rickshaw ride takes you through the crowded lanes of Chandi Chowk, where you'll pass Kinari Bazar with its wedding goods, the 400-year-old Jama Masjid, and the fragrant Khari Baoli spice market. The Red Fort comes next, then you'll visit Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. By afternoon you're in New Delhi visiting India Gate, Parliament House, and the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib with its impressive marble and gold architecture. The day finishes with a walk through New Delhi's central area.

Delhi to Amritsar
You'll travel early morning to Amritsar and settle into your hotel. Later in the afternoon, head out to Wagah Border where you'll watch the daily flag-lowering ceremony at dusk. This choreographed performance between Indian and Pakistani soldiers happens right at the border crossing and creates quite a dramatic atmosphere as the gates swing open and closed with precision.

- Day 3
Amritsar
Start with breakfast and then spend the day visiting Amritsar's spiritual sites. The Golden Temple, the holiest Sikh shrine, is first on your list with its distinctive gold-covered structure. Next comes Jallianwala Bagh, a memorial to a tragic British-era massacre. You'll also explore the Durgiana Temple complex, which has a large pond within its grounds, and the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum housed in Ram Bagh, a landscaped garden filled with Mughal and Sikh-era artifacts.

Jughar countryside (near Dharamshala)
You'll travel about 20 km from Dharamshala to Jughar countryside for a homestay with a local Indian family. This gives you a genuine look at local customs and traditions. Participate in cooking classes with your host family and enjoy their authentic home cooking. Take mountain walks through the countryside to nearby rivers and tea plantations. If you're interested, paragliding is available at the nearby Bir Billing valley. You can also visit Bejnath Temple in the mountains, walk through Kangra District tea plantations, and see the scenic rivers and local dams.

- Day 5
McLeodganj (Dharamshala)
After breakfast at the homestay, head to McLeodganj, which sits against the Dhauldhar mountain backdrop and has been home to the Dalai Lama since 1960. You'll visit Dal Lake, a local church, Bhagsu Nag Temple, and the Tibetan Monastery. The scenic mountain setting makes this a peaceful spot to spend several hours. You'll return to the homestay for dinner.

Kangra Valley and Tashi Jong
Following breakfast at the homestay, you'll explore the nearby areas based from your homestay location. Stop at Bejnath Temple, a Shiva shrine surrounded by river scenery, and Tashi Jong Buddhist Monastery. Visit a tea factory and tea plantation in Kangra Valley to see how tea is grown and processed. You'll also stop at Jakhani Mata Temple. These are all day trips from your homestay base.

After breakfast, you'll check out and drive toward Manali. Along the route, you'll stop at Sundernagar Lake, Pandoh Dam, and Vaishno Devi Temple. The drive also gives you views of the scenic Kullu Valley spreading out below. Once you arrive in Manali, you'll check into your hotel and settle in for the evening.

- Day 8
Manali
After breakfast, you'll head toward Rohtang Pass and Snow Point, about 54 km away and roughly 4 hours by car. On the way, you'll explore Solang Valley, where optional paragliding and ropeway activities are available. Solang Nala valley itself is known for both summer and winter sports. After spending time there, you'll return to Manali and visit the Tibetan Monastery and take a stroll down Mall Road before evening.

Shimla
Spend the full day exploring Shimla. Visit Taradevi Temple, Jakhu Temple, Chandwick Waterfalls, and the famous Kali Temple. Walk through Mall, Ridge, and Lower Bazaar areas. Beyond the typical tourist sights, you can take jungle walks to connect with nature, learn about the local Pahadi culture, and chat with local people to understand their lifestyle and the region better.

You'll check out early and travel by private vehicle to Rishikesh. This holy pilgrimage site sits on the banks of the Ganges River. Rishikesh draws pilgrims who come to bathe in the sacred river and connect with its spiritual atmosphere.

Rishikesh

Rishikesh to Haridwar
Begin your morning with yoga and meditation classes before breakfast. After eating, you'll head to Haridwar, one of India's most sacred cities and a major pilgrimage destination. Take the cable car up to Mansa Devi Temple, then head to Har Ki Pouri (Ganga Ghat) to see the famous Ganga Aarti ceremony at sunset. You'll return to Rishikesh for the night.

Rishikesh to Delhi by train
You'll board a train from Rishikesh to Delhi in an AC sleeping compartment (2nd or 3rd class depending on availability). Your driver helps you get on the correct train and handles baggage assistance. Once the train arrives in Delhi, you'll be picked up from the station and transferred to your hotel.

Delhi to Agra
After breakfast, you'll journey to Agra, home to the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. This monument was built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a symbol of eternal love. You'll meet your guide and explore Agra's main attractions including the UNESCO-listed Agra Fort, one of India's most remarkable forts. Both sites sit on the banks of the Yamuna River.

Agra to Jaipur (via Fatehpur Sikri)
Get an early start to see the Taj Mahal with your guide in the morning. Then you'll travel toward Jaipur, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri along the way. Once you reach Jaipur, check into your hotel and do some local sightseeing. Visit Galta Ji, a monkey temple set beautifully among the hills with different monkey species living around the temple complex.

Jaipur
After breakfast, your guide will lead a full day of local sightseeing. You'll visit Amber Fort set among hills, the City Palace complex with its beautiful displays, and Jantar Mantar astronomical observatory. See the royal Gaitor tombs, take a photo at Jal Mahal palace sitting on the water, and explore the iconic Hawa Mahal with its signature 1000 small windows. Finish the day shopping at Bapu Bazar.
