Arrival in Bentota
You'll meet your driver at Bandaranaike International Airport who'll take you straight to Bentota. Once you arrive at your hotel, the rest of the evening is yours to unwind. The beach is right there if you want to walk along the shore, or you can relax by the pool before heading to bed and getting adjusted to the time change.

Vow Renewal Ceremony in Bentota
This is your special day. Drummers and dancers will escort you to a traditional wedding stand set up on the beach for your vow renewal ceremony. You'll participate in Sri Lankan wedding rituals, toast with champagne afterward, and then enjoy a romantic dinner. Your room will be decorated for the occasion, making it a night you won't forget.

Bentota Beach Relaxation and Nature
You have several options to fill your day around Bentota. Head to the Kosgoda turtle hatchery to see the protected sea turtles, or take a safari boat down the Madu River where you'll pass through rural villages and cinnamon plantations. If you're looking for something more active, water sports like jet skiing and snorkeling are available. Either way, you'll have time to relax on the beach as the sun sets.

Sigiriya Ancient City
After breakfast, you'll travel to Sigiriya to see one of the ancient world's wonders. The main event is climbing the rock fortress, which involves tackling around 1200 steps to reach the top. Along the way you'll see the Mirror Wall and the famous Sigiriya Frescoes. The Lion Gate entrance is carved into the rock itself. You can also take an elephant back ride safari in the area and visit the nearby Dambulla Golden Cave Temple with its multiple Buddha statues.

Take it easy today and stay around your hotel. After breakfast, take a walk to the nearby village to get a feel for how local people live and work. Later in the afternoon, head to Kandalama Lake to catch the sunset before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Negombo
You'll transfer from your current location to Negombo, a coastal town that's close to the airport and known for its friendly locals. The old quarter has interesting colonial architecture and reminders of European history mixed in with local culture. Once you settle into your hotel, you can explore the town at your own pace before dinner.

Departure
Your driver will pick you up and take you to the airport with plenty of time to spare before your flight, leaving you at least 2 hours before departure. You'll head home with great memories from your romantic anniversary trip through Sri Lanka.
