Arrival
An Insight host meets you at the airport and takes you to your hotel. After you get settled, meet your Travel Director at 7 PM for a Welcome Reception where you'll have dinner and wine with your fellow travelers.

- Day 2
Athens to Olympia
Your Local Expert guides you through the Parthenon and other temples atop the Acropolis. Then you'll drive along the Saronic Gulf past the Corinth Canal to Mycenae, where you walk through the Lion Gate and see the royal beehive-tombs. Stop at a family-run pottery studio and wander through the elegant town of Nafplio before heading to Olympia.

Olympia
Spend time exploring ancient Olympia, where the Olympic Games started in 776 B.C. You'll see the ruined Temple of Zeus, the athletes' gymnasium, and the Ancient Stadium with its arch, plus the stone markers from the original sprint. In the evening, a local chef demonstrates classic Greek cooking, followed by a Highlight Dinner.

Olympia to Kalambaka
Travel north to Patras and cross the Rio-Antirrio Bridge onto the mainland. Your Local Expert leads you up Mount Parnassus to Delphi, walking along the Sacred Way past the Treasury of the Athenians and Polygonal Wall. You'll reach the Temple of Apollo, where the Oracle gave prophecies for 14 centuries. Then continue to Kalambaka.

Meteora
Visit the UNESCO site of Meteora with its massive smooth rock pinnacles. Your Local Expert takes you into one of the centuries-old monasteries perched on the rock towers and shares the views over Peneios Valley. The rest of your day is free to walk nature trails or check out the Natural History Museum.

Kalambaka to Athens
Journey south to Thermopylae, the mountain pass where King Leonidas led the Spartans against the Persians in 480 B.C. You'll see the Leonidas Monument, then travel on to Athens to view the Temple of Zeus, Temple of Wingless Victory, and Hadrian's Arch. Later, you'll have a Celebration Dinner in true Greek style with wine.

Your morning is free in Athens. In the late afternoon, you board your cruise ship and set sail for Kusadasi. While cruising, Mediterranean and international dishes are available, and breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily with complimentary drinks included.

Kusadasi to Rhodes
Check out the Turkish port of Kusadasi in the morning. Your Local Expert guides you through the ancient ruins of Ephesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, the ship sails on to Rhodes.

Rhodes
When you arrive at Rhodes, the day is yours to explore at your own pace. The Crusaders chose this city as their fortified headquarters and it's surrounded by medieval walls. Join the included walking tour of the old town or relax on the golden beaches. In the evening, your cruise heads to Crete.

Crete

Later, your Local Expert takes you to the Cycladic village of Oia, one of the island's most authentic spots, before the ship heads to Milos.
