  A beautiful combination of history, nature and everyday Sri Lankan scenery. The ancient cities were fascinating, especially seeing the old ruins and monuments at Polonnaruwa. Kandy had a completely different atmosphere, while Nuwara Eliya felt almost like another country with its cool weather and green tea estates. The road through the hills was one of the most enjoyable parts of the journey. Lanka Safe Tours provided a private vehicle, which gave plenty of flexibility during the trip. Stops for photographs or a quick break were never a problem. Accommodation was comfortable enough for relaxing after sightseeing, and the included dinners were convenient. Seven days passed quickly, but the itinerary gave a good taste of Sri Lanka and left plenty of reasons to return.Show more

  What a fantastic way to see Sri Lanka in just one week! The itinerary was packed, but everything felt well organized from the beginning. Sigiriya was a highlight, while the temples and historical sites around Polonnaruwa added a completely different side to the trip. Kandy was beautiful, and the journey toward Nuwara Eliya brought some incredible mountain scenery. The private driver from Lanka Safe Tours was punctual, friendly and helpful whenever advice was needed. Having someone familiar with the roads made the longer journeys much easier. Hotels were comfortable and the half-board arrangement was convenient. There was plenty to see without spending time worrying about transport or logistics. A memorable holiday with some wonderful photographs to take home.Show more

  Sri Lanka turned out to be far more beautiful than expected, and having a private driver made the whole journey very comfortable. The route covered so many different sides of the country, from the ancient sites around Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa to the peaceful hills of Kandy and Nuwara Eliya. The drive through the tea country was especially memorable. Lanka Safe Tours handled the transfers smoothly, and the vehicle was clean and comfortable throughout the trip. Half-board accommodation also made the evenings easy after long sightseeing days. There was a good balance between culture, nature, wildlife and scenery without feeling rushed.
