  1. Day 1

    Airport Transfer to Hotel

    Your team will meet you at the airport and drive you to your downtown hotel. Take time to settle in and rest after your travel.

  2. Day 2

    Ulaanbaatar City Tour

    After breakfast, a guide and driver pick you up to explore Ulaanbaatar's main attractions. You'll see Sukhbaatar Square with its government buildings and Genghis Khan's Memorial, then tour the Gandan Monastery, one of Mongolia's largest Buddhist monasteries. Following lunch, you'll head to the Genghis Khan Statue Complex to see the 131-foot tall Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue overlooking the Tuul River. The National History Museum is also on your route to learn about Mongolian history and culture.

    Junk Festival Volunteer Work

    You'll meet with the local volunteer manager from Eejii.org and Junk Festival co-organizers. They'll explain the festival preparations and help you choose your team assignment. From there, you'll start your volunteer work, assisting with coordination tasks and supporting on-site staff throughout the day.

    Terelj National Park

    You'll travel about 60 km by paved road to Terelj National Park. Arriving at your traditional yurt ger, you'll stay in the southern part of the park, which has restaurants, souvenir shops, and rental options for horses and camels if you're interested in exploring the area.

    It was a wonderful trip. The family I lived with were extremely kind. Sharing their way of life was very interesting. The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful. It was a wonderful adventure.     Travelling trough Mongoila was one of the most beautiful experiences. The organization of the tour was very professional. Already before it got started the touroperator took very well care of all of our needs. Our tourguide did an excellent job, giving us an authentic fascinating insight of the country.     Is it possible to go on this trip later in September? I was thinking about going on September 25th. Would that be possible? Also, does the price include the air ticket from Ulaan Baatar to Murun?

    • For any tour departing before February 15th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 15th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with TTRMongolia. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and TTRMongolia will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
