  North India Revealed, was an amazing tour. Our guide Sanjeev was really good. Free time is a bonus and though sometimes felt obligated to do what the rest of the group is doing, you can still go off and explore on your own. Watch out for beggars, of all ages including children. They don't take no for an answer. In India they expect tips, I wasn't aware of this but its on 10 Rupiahs which equates to about 2c Australian. Overall a really good trip.

  Excellent tour guide Antika Jaiswal. She was a very good operator, so well prepared that everything worked smoothly. You always felt safe and confident knowing everything would be dealt with efficiently. Her pleasant personality endeared her to everyone in the group. She was fair, kind and had a great sense of humour and always acted professionally. Her commitment to the group was far more than was required from a tour leader. This has been my 9th Intrepid tour and I’ve always been pleased with my guides but Ankita is by far the best I’ve had. She enabled me to have a fantastic holiday.

  Ankita, our guide, was excellent. She was organised, professional, calm and managed our group of 8 with warmth, humour and flexibility. Her passion for Indian history, culture and food shone through each day.

  AnkitaJaiswal was one of the main reason why the trip was an excellent experience. She is knowledgeable about Rajasthan and is able to respond to individual requests and questions. She does it with a smile, is able to bring the group together, and made the trip a fun and unforgettable experience.

  It is my third intrepid trip. All 3 have been amazing (why I will definately recommend intrepid). Our guide Ankita definately helped make my trip, she was full of information, took us to and recommended a large range of places to eat and visit, was very honest and transparent with all opportunities, accomodation and travel. Ankita dealt with some more difficult travellers and responded to situations and grievances outside of her control with poise and professionalism. Was always willing to jump in and help if any of us were experiencing problems due to language barriers and helped us work through these. Ankita is a 5-star guide.

  because I loved everything about India but didn’t give 5 because we would have appreciated more time at monuments, especially on days when we visited one place only. So for the reason that we are at times rushed it’s a 4 not a 5

  Hotels in Jodhpur and Jaipur very far from city centre. Ajay didn't want to go to Jaswant Thada, even though it was on the road up to the fort, and I had to ask him 3 times!! We went and only had 2 mins, so rushed. Some in the group thanked me for getting Ajay to take us there, and said it was a highlight! But one girl didn't even have time to see inside it. Many of the ""optionals"" we're unavoidable and this added a lot to the cost of the tour - it's not as affordable as it looks! Some people in the group pressured me and others into giving Ajay a big tip - I'm sure he does very well! Someone was counting what everyone gave. I gave far too much and am very annoyed about this!! Thar Desert - there is NO long drop, even though Intrepid itinerary says there is. Ajay told us to shit and piss in the sand, and he didn't care about this. Disgusting!! In the morning I went for a wander and had to avoid walking in other people's shit!! The ""walking orientation tours"" with Ajay were too fast for the group. We were always having to stop and wait for people to catch up, and there often was no time to take a photo or stop and look at something. Very annoying! Only 2 1/4 hours at Taj Mahal.Didn't see it all, and didn't have time to do any shopping. SO disappointed. This is a wonder of the world and our guide gave us very limited time there. I am really pissed off about this and want a response from Intrepid. I gave given low scores to Ajay because of this.
