Itinerary
- Day 1
Bucharest to Gura Humorului
You'll travel north from Bucharest toward Bucovina, driving through the Eastern Carpathian Mountains with views of rolling Romanian countryside along the way. The drive takes you through some really nice terrain before reaching Gura Humorului, where you'll get settled and ready for the next few days of exploring the region.

- Day 2
Bucovina Painted Monasteries
Start the day visiting the Painted Monasteries of Bucovina. First, check out Voronet Monastery to see the famous 'Voronet blue' frescoes that cover the exterior walls. From there, head to Moldovita Monastery with its gold and deep blue exterior paintings, then make your way to Sucevita Monastery, which looks like a fortress and has a museum inside with historical treasures. By evening you'll drive to Piatra Neamt for the night.

- Day 3
Transylvania to Brasov and Bucharest
You'll journey through Transylvania, starting with the dramatic Bicaz Canyon and Red Lake, which is Romania's largest natural mountain lake. The scenery here is really striking. After that, arrive in Brasov to walk through narrow Rope Street, see the baroque buildings around Old Town Hall Square, and visit the Black Church, which is quite impressive. You'll head back to Bucharest in the evening.
