Our 2-week Thailand trip with Feel Free Travel was incredible. The itinerary had the perfect mix of adventure, culture, beaches and nights out — from Bangkok markets to island hopping and amazing snorkelling. Everything felt smooth and well organised, so we could just enjoy the experience. Elle, our tour manager, kept the whole trip running effortlessly. She gave clear info, created a fun and relaxed vibe, and always had great recommendations without ever being intrusive. The group atmosphere was brilliant, and the whole trip far exceeded expectations. I’d definitely recommend this tour — and would happily travel with Elle and Feel Free Travel again.

I just finished the 15-day Thailand tour (completing my 4th Feel Free trip), and I honestly can’t say enough good things about it. From start to finish, everything was so well-organized, fun, and full of unforgettable experiences. Our group leader, Jess, went above and beyond every single day - she was professional, fun, and genuinely cared about making sure everyone had the best possible time. Her energy, patience, and passion made such a difference and brought our whole group together. Even when it rained for days on end, Jess was always ready to cheer us up with a song, dance or a round of cards. The local guides, especially Tukta and P’Samut, were fantastic — so knowledgeable, friendly, and full of stories that helped us really understand the Thai culture and cities. Every stop felt meaningful thanks to them. One of the absolute highlights for everyone was visiting Ken’s ethical elephant sanctuary. It was so special to see how much love and care he has for these beautiful animals, and to know that the experience truly supports their wellbeing. It was a day none of us will ever forget. The activities throughout the trip were amazing and offered such great value for money — from temples and markets to beaches, a cooking class, Muay Thai, and night adventures, everything felt thoughtfully chosen and well balanced. This trip exceeded all expectations. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Thailand in a fun, authentic, and well-supported way. Thank you, Jess and the whole Feel Free Team for making it truly unforgettable! 🌿🇹🇭💛

I just finished the 15-day Thailand trip with Feel Free Travel and it was incredible! The itinerary is packed with activities from start to finish. You really get to experience so much of Thailand, and for everything that’s included, the value for money is unbeatable. Our group leader Jess was absolutely fantastic. She has this natural good energy, even when it rained or the group was tired, she kept everyone smiling and the vibes high. Everything felt smooth and effortless thanks to her. We also had several local guides along the way who were all knowledgeable, funny, and passionate about sharing their culture. They added so much to the experience and made each stop more special. This is my second trip with Feel Free after and both have been unforgettabe. I honestly can’t recommend them enough if you want to travel, meet great people, and experience a country in the best possible way.

Had the most enjoyable trip in Thailand with Jamie as our tour guide. The group was lovely, and travelling around Thailand seeing the sights was an amazing experience. The accomodation was consistently clean and comfortable, and the surroundings were always stunning. There was a good mix of busy days and chill time, to make sure we all got the most out of our experience. Even the activities which were not at the top of my bucket list turned out to be fun because of the group and Jamie's enthusiasm. Would definitely recommend for others, the price is fair for what's included and removes much of the hassle and stress from the trip as Jamie was more than happy to sort any requests along the way.

I did the Bali tour with Jamie and what an absolute delight it was! Not only was it exceptionally well organised, from the pick up at the airport, the AMAZING hotels, food spots and transport but Jamie made it all a breeze. Plus the guys quite funny too (hate to admit it) which made the experience even easier. All in all, a great company and when you’ve got a tour guide like Jamie it only makes you want to go book somewhere else again!

My group was absolutely amazing – such kind and welcoming people who made you feel instantly at ease. A huge part of that atmosphere was thanks to our incredible group leader, Jamie, whose humour and care brought so much warmth to every day, and Laura, who was doing her training and fit in so naturally. With Jamie and Laura around, you were never bored – his energy kept things light, fun, and effortlessly enjoyable. But it wasn’t just the people who made the trip so special – the activities and the places we explored created memories I’ll carry forever. Highlights for me were visiting the elephants and snorkeling and diving around Phi Phi – genuinely unforgettable moments. The nights we went out for drinks were always fun and full of good vibes, but it wasn’t over the top, which made the whole experience feel so much more relaxed and balanced. It wasn’t just a party trip – and that mix was exactly what we were after. The blend of adventure and downtime was perfect. If I could’ve changed one thing, I’d have added just one more day in Pai. That peaceful, beautiful place had such a calm energy – I could’ve spent hours more at the sunset viewpoint, playing cards and soaking it all in. All in all, what an experience. I never once felt pressured or stressed – just completely free to enjoy every moment. Honestly, the best holiday I’ve ever had. Who knew solo travelling could be this much fun?

We must remain faithful to our target audience and existing customer base. These customers are young students and gap year backpackers eager to join others on their first-ever solo adventure. It would be unfair for us to accept bookings from travellers outside of the 18-39 age range that we set for our groups.

I am 46, so just slightly outside of the age range. But, I really felt like this was the best tour for my interest and needs. I'm super active and adventurous and no one thinks I'm my age. Is there any way you could make an exception?

As much as we would love for you to join us, we must remain faithful to our target audience and existing customer base. These customers are young students and gap year backpackers eager to join others on their first-ever solo adventure. It would be unfair for us to accept bookings from travellers outside of the 18-39 age range that we set for our groups. I would suggest looking at companies like G Adventures & Intrepid. I know they have a much more flexible demographic than we do, and they offer very similar group trips.

Can I start by checking, would it be the standard twin share accommodation you'd be looking to book or the private room upgrade option? The private room means you'd get your own room throughout the trip (Excluding the overnight train). This is an extra £600.

    Transport
    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten May 2025

I can confirm that we include all transport while you're over in Thailand during the trip. There is 1 flight from the South up to Chiang Mai and this is booked by us. Of course as you mentioned, we don't include flights to and from Thailand and the trip starts in Bangkok and ends in Chiang Mai

  • G

    Gillian

    Asked on April 26th, 2025

How is accommodation exactly? Will I always share a hotel room with another person from the same gender? Or will there also be dorms with more than 2 persons in each room? Is there a possibility for private rooms (with extra charge of course)?

    Accommodation
    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten April 2025

We stay in guesthouse/hotel accommodation with 2 people per room. Most places have swimming pools, and if you'd prefer your own space, you can upgrade to a private room for an extra £600 on top of the tour price.

    • G

      Gillian

      TravelerWritten April 2025

So I have to pay in advance in order for me to have all private rooms? Not possible to pay there for a specific stay only? And also I wanted to ask about the luggage, what luggage size is recommended to bring to this kind of trip? I mean what do most people have with them, a big suitcase or just backpack?

    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten April 2025

For the private room upgrade you'll need to book it for the full trip, we don't have the option to offer it in chunks. When it comes to luggage you'll find some will bring a big suitcase and others a backpack... it very much boils down to personal preference but we just limit the big bag to 20kg and the small carryon to 7kg as there is an internal flight on this trip.

    • G

      Gillian

      TravelerWritten April 2025

And the internal flights are included in the package price? And one more thing I was wondering about: are most of the travelers in this trip from the UK? Or is it varied? According to statistics I mean

    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten April 2025

The internal flight from the South to Chiang Mai is included on Day 10 of the trip. With our company being from the UK we do see about 40-50% of our customers from the UK but I can see on the 3rd May trip that there are travellers from the UK, USA and Europe. Most are booked to travel solo also.

    • G

      Gillian

      TravelerWritten April 2025

And regarding gender balance, is it usually almost 50/50 in this regard? Just want to have an idea what to expect as a guy myself

Group trips do tend to be a little more popular with female travellers - I'd say it's usually around a 70/30 split. That said, on this trip there are definitely a few guys booked on already, and the vibe is always really sociable and easy-going, so you'll be in good company!

We offer two trip options in Thailand: - 9-Day Bangkok & The South - 15-Day Best of Thailand. We have departures starting on either the 15th or 17th November, and the itinerary is already set. We aim to find the perfect balance between culture, adventure and chill time, with plenty of activities included.

We'd love to book this tour but we have checked the flights and the best option would be with an arrival at 16:00 at BKK on the 15th. We wanted to check whether this is way too late or would that work with a transfer etc before dinner and drinks?

Arriving at 16:00pm on Day 1 isn't a problem and we will still arrange an airport pick up for you at this time to take you straight to the hotel. It may be that once you arrive you wont have long until the group is ready to head out for dinner & drinks, however if you wanted a little extra time to freshen up then you could always meet up with them a little later.

Could I just check please if the attached screenshot means we could book the same accommodation for the night before? I.e. we would arrive on the 14th Nov rather than 15th. If so, are there any restrictions? E.g. would we still be picked up from the airport?

    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten March 2025

We offer pre-tour accommodation which is £35 per person per night and this includes your early airport pick up on arrival and this is also in the same hotel where we start the trip. So if you were both to arrive on the 14th Nov then you would need to add 2 nights which would cover you both for the 14th.

Are most tours for the range of 18 to 39 years old? We are 52 and 49 out of range?

As much as we would love you to join us, we must remain faithful to our target audience and existing customer base. These customers are young students and gap year backpackers eager to join others on their first-ever solo adventure. It would be unfair for us to accept bookings from travellers outside of the 18-39 age range that we set for our groups. I would suggest looking at companies like G Adventures, One Life Adventures, or Intro Travel. I know they have a much more flexible demographic than we do, and they offer very similar group trips.

Do I still get an airport transfer if I arrive a day early?

    • Feel Free TravelOperatorWritten January 2025

When it comes to airport pickups, we include this within the package on Day 1. If you were to book pre-tour accommodation with us directly you'd get an airport pickup included within the price of the pre-night accommodation.
