I'm looking for a tour for my mother, 76, traveling alone. She loves travelling and has been in many countries and Mongolia will be her 100th. She would like to spend at least a week or 10 days seeing the most important regions of the country. We're from Argentina so we like to do long trips when traveling and after Mongolia she continues so she has a budget between 2000-2500 usd for the trip. She has an active lifestyle and walks normally but she can't do 3 hours non stop for example or big hikings and sports. We're not looking for a private trip, groups are ok. We do want a guide to go with her. She's ok with sharing a bedroom with another female passenger if necessary. I know that March and April are still cold months with snow, is it possible to still do tours at that moment of the year? Or only during June-July-August?

The most pleasant time to visit Mongolia is in the summer, from June to September. In March and April, temperatures are still very cold with snow. You can have -25* in March and it will limitate the outdoor activities. But if your mother is happy about that and having winter sceneries, it is possible to organise it at that time. One other difficulty is that I can't confirm you now for sure that we will have a group departure, even a small group, in mid-March for a 10 to 12 days Tour. So it would be hard to organise it from today.

Can I ask if there are facilities to charge a mobile phone and camera every day of the trip?

Yes, you'll be able to charge your camera and mobile phone every day during the tour.

Could you please confirm if all accommodations have power outlets available, as the traveler requires a CPAP machine? Could you also provide the price for a private room for one traveller in a Single Room?

All accommodations are most likely to have power outlets. We do not have any other booking on the 8th of June and we couldn't operate this tour at the same price ($2800 USD) as it is a price for at least 2 travellers on the tour. I can send you a solo traveller price for this tour if you'd like.

For the $800 dollar surcharge for being a single traveller, I would have assumed more decent accommodations with some type of heat.proper bathrooms..not just a crack in a board for a pit toilets..doors / or door with locks for bathrooms and showers..only had shower available in 2 spots on 12 night tour..second didn't even lock for open shower/bathroom for 1 facility for both sexes for multi guests.. which was exactly 1 toilet /1 shower in one room which did not lock..why the price hike for singles...Gers rent in the area for 20 a night.so increase should have been $120 not $800..would have needed another car and driver if I had booked for 2 as there wasn't any room for another. Sights after first day were nothing special, long boring driving days to go to mediocre sights with lack of anything to do when we hot there. Driver also subjected us to his searches for berries and hay to bring home for his family..Couldnt wait for this trip to be over..froze to death every night ..temperature inside of gers dropped to close to zero overnight.. Guide was very nice with good English..but it was her first trip to these sights.Show more

This fall (25 September-06 October ) in Mongolia is relatively cold in the fall of the last years and this is a result of your unliked tour. Since all the tourist camps were closed because of the cold, we planned to take a trip to a place where tourists could open it. Please forgive again. We would like to refund you a certain amount of payment. About the Guide, Khangai Tour is not his first trip to her. She has had a successful experience in hosting Gobi 2 tours.   I am not in a critical health condition. The CPAP machine helps me sleep at night. I have a friend who would also like to book the same tour as me. I would be interested in a separate room rather than a shared room with him. How much might that cost?

  During this tour, there is a 2-3-4 nights that are spent either camping in a tent or in a ger with a host family when we are visiting them. I can't guarantee that you will have a separate private bed with a power outlet next to it everynight to operate your machine. If this is what you need, I wouldn't recommend this itinerary and neither with this budget. I can recommend some different itineraries that stays on regular tracks, where it's easier to find ger camps and have private rooms.

The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
