Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Lake Bled

    You'll arrive at Lake Bled and meet up with your group in the afternoon for the workshop briefing at your accommodation. Before heading out, try the local Bled cream cake and grab an early dinner. Later, make your way to the lake shore to photograph the blue hour light with the island and castle as your subjects. The light during this time creates that soft, dramatic quality that works well for landscape work.

  2. Day 2

    Bohinj Valley

    Start before sunrise at Lake Bled to capture landscape photography of the island and castle with the first light. After that, head to Vintgar gorge where you'll work on long exposure shots of the Radovna river and get a sense of the raw landscape. You'll come back for breakfast and have the afternoon to relax. Later, travel to Bohinj Valley to photograph Slovenia's largest lake, then finish the day shooting sunset from St. John church and the bridge nearby.

  3. Day 3

    Triglav National Park - Bovec

    Begin with a sunrise session at Jamnik and St. Primus church, which offers views of Mt. Storzic and is one of the region's most sought-after photography locations. After breakfast, you'll depart for Triglav National Park and cross Slovenia's highest mountain pass at 1,611 meters. From there, descend into Trenta valley to photograph the turquoise Soca river set against the Julian Alps. Settle into your accommodation in Bovec or Log pod Mangrtom, with an optional astro-photography workshop available later if you're interested.

  4. Day 4

    Soca Valley - Goriška Brda

    Start with a late morning breakfast, then travel south along the Soca river to Kobarid, site of the World War I Isonzo Front and Battle of Caporetto. You'll explore the WW I Ossuary and discover the hidden Kozjak Waterfall beneath Mountain Krn. Continue down the valley toward the Slovenian-Italian border, passing through medieval villages and farms set in Tuscany-like hills. Photograph the sunset from viewpoints above Goriska Brda wine region with views across the Friuli plain, then enjoy dinner with local specialties.

  5. Day 5

    Piran

    Spend the morning driving through the charming old villages of Goriska Brda with several stops to photograph pastures, farms, vineyards, and the local church architecture. After returning for breakfast, travel to the Slovenian coast and the Venetian town of Piran, which sits on a sharp peninsula in the Adriatic. The afternoon includes a city walk with street photography work through the narrow streets. Later, capture the sunset from the defensive wall and spend time shooting in the town center during blue hour.

  6. Day 6

    Ljubljana

    You'll have a late morning breakfast before heading to Ljubljana with a stop at Rakov Skocjan, a natural wonder in the area. Take a short walk to see the karst Rak river as it flows through caves in the Cerknica field before disappearing underground at Tkalca cave. Continue on to Ljubljana for an afternoon at your own pace. Later, do a photo walk through the old town and shoot the sunset from the castle hill, wandering the medieval streets filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants.

  7. Day 7

    Velika Planina

    Drive to the viewpoint at St. Thomas church above Praprotno village for your final morning session at one of the world's best landscape photography locations. The lonely hilltop church sits against the Kamnik and Savinja Alps with the sun creating beautiful ray illumination. Return for a leisure breakfast, then head to Velika Planina pasture area in the afternoon. Finish your workshop with a sunset photography session capturing the old traditional farming houses scattered across the plateau with the Alps in the background.

For tours departing after February 8th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Trips4photos Photography Workshops. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
