Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Habarana
You'll touch down at Bandaranaike International Airport where someone from the hotel will be waiting for you with flowers. The drive to Habarana takes a few hours, so you'll have the rest of the day to check in and get settled. Most people use this time to rest after traveling or walk around the hotel grounds to get oriented.

- Day 2
Anuradhapura and Mihintale
After breakfast, you're heading to Anuradhapura, one of Sri Lanka's most significant religious sites with ancient temples and monuments spread across a large area. You'll spend the morning walking through the ruins and learning about the history. In the afternoon, you'll drive to Mihintale, another important site with its own set of temples and views from higher up. Then it's back to your hotel in Habarana by evening.

Sigiriya Rock Fortress and Polonnaruwa
This morning after eating, you'll make your way to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, which sits as a massive rock rising from the plains. The climb up takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on your pace, and the view from the top covers the whole surrounding area. Later, you'll check out Polonnaruwa, the old medieval capital with its own set of ancient buildings and carvings. You'll drive back to Habarana afterward, arriving by late afternoon or early evening.

- Day 4
Dambulla, Spice Garden, Batik Factory, and Kandy
After breakfast, you're leaving for Kandy with a stop at Dambulla Rock Cave Temple on the way. At the temple, you'll see carved Buddha statues inside natural caves. Before reaching Kandy, you'll also visit a spice garden and a batik factory to see how they make traditional fabrics. Once you check in to your hotel in Kandy, there's time to rest. At 6:00pm you'll head out to see the Kandyan Dance performance, which shows traditional movements and costumes. Afterward, you'll visit the Dalada Maligawa, the Temple of the Tooth, one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in the country.

- Day 5
Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, Royal Botanical Gardens, and Nuwara Eliya
This morning you'll go to Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage where the baby elephants get bottle-fed around 9:00am and later they wade into the river for a bath. It's quite a sight to see. From there, you head back toward Kandy to check out the Royal Botanical Gardens with walking paths and tropical plants. Later, you're driving to Nuwara Eliya with a stop at a tea factory to see how they process tea leaves. Once you arrive in the hill country, you'll visit the local golf course, Victoria Park, and Gregory Lake. By evening you'll check in at your hotel in Ramboda.

Ravana Waterfalls and Yala National Park Safari
After breakfast, you're driving toward Kataragama and stopping at Ravana Waterfalls along the way. After checking in at your hotel, around 3:00pm you'll head out on a jeep safari through Yala National Park. This is where you might see leopards, elephants, wild boar, and various birds in their natural habitat. You'll return to your hotel in Tissamaharama by evening.

- Day 7
Hambantota Salterns, Weligama Stilt Fishermen, and Galle Fort
After breakfast, you're heading to the south coast starting with Hambantota Salterns where you can see how salt is harvested. Next, you'll stop at Weligama to watch the stilt fishermen standing in the water on wooden poles using traditional fishing methods. You'll continue to Galle Fort, a historic fortified city from the colonial period with walls you can walk on. After that, you'll drive to Unawatuna and check in to your hotel there.

Unawatuna Beach
After breakfast, you can spend the day at Unawatuna beach however you like. The beach is popular with travelers for good reason, with calm water and a nice curved bay. You might swim, grab lunch at one of the beach restaurants, walk around the small town, or just sit and relax. It's your day to do whatever appeals to you most.

Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery and Colombo City Tour
After breakfast, you're traveling to Colombo with a stop at the Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda to see sea turtles being raised for release. Once you reach Colombo, you'll take a city tour covering the old colonial areas, temples, museums, and local neighborhoods. By evening you'll check in at your hotel in the capital city.
