  The tour was excellent from A to Z. Our guides Kitty (Beijing), Lily (Xi'an), Monica (Guilin) and Mary (Shanghai) were knowledgeable, informative, caring and attentive. It was well curated, and we hit all the spots from modern to traditional to naturist. I have become taken by the country and wonderful people, and ive been singing its praises since I returned home.   Transportation, more specific the flights between cities were so bad with so much delays. The flight from Guilin to Shanghai was too long, we transited in a small city without knowing why. Because of it we lost whole day of the tour. Arrived in Shanghai Airport (it was not Pudong), we did not see the person who supposed to pick us up. Finally we did found her. She lead us to the wrong exit door, walked round and round, asked an airport cleaning lady for direction. After long day traveling more than 10 hours, we had to carry our suite cases from one exit to other exits, this was too much for all of us (nine people).Show more

My only complaint was that some of the museum visits were far too brief. Giving only one hour for a major museum covering thousands of years of history and culture was just not adequate.Show more

  It was a fantastic trip . The two girls Tina in Beijing and Celine In Xi’an were amazing . Very knowledgeable. We saw so much and it was an amazing place . The food was good and the hotels were 5 star really. The only thing is maybe we could just say stop for and hour at a couple of places were there was a market that we walked through where we could just look around by a souvenir or just sits down get a drink and soak up the atmosphere of the place . In Shanghai we could have had an hour to look around the French quarter and take it all in . We did not need to to the shops as that was the point but he Mosque in Xi’an would have been another spot we could have just sat had a drink or a quick look at sovereign whatever anyone wanted to do for an hour . Guilin was the same when we walked up the old street we needed to rest get a cold drink and icy pole as it was so hot the blind after the cruise. Just a note that maybe in Shanghai the day we arrive maybe an activity for the evening (A dinner some where ax a group) as he hotel is a fair way out of town and it took us a while to get in . Apart from that I would still recommended this 11 days . You saw all you need and more and the activities were really good . So thank you all. On a non-shopping tour, we arrange NO STOP at any commission based tourist shops or factory stores, but some attractions may have a shop at their entry or exit, which we cannot avoid passing through. On the other hand, for clients who may want to shop for small gifts or souvenirs, we have included a few local markets as described in the itinerary. They are non-commissionable places and clients have absolutely no pression for any purchase. Hope for your kind understanding.
