Can I join this tour and visit China without needing a visa as a US citizen?

The travelers may get visa exemption for the 240 hour visa. According to the policy, 240-hour will be valid from 00:00am on the the next day, namely be valid at 00:00 on July 4 until 23:59 on July 13th. The tour will end on July 13th, and the travelers can take departure flight on 13th. Besides, the traveler's tour schedule should meet the request of "A city → China → B city". However, since we are not quite professional on visa issue, please kindly double confirm it with the local embassy to make sure the trip will be smooth then.

Can you please let us know what luggage can we have during the intra-flights from Xian to Guilin and from Guilin to Shanghai?

Airlines have different regulations, but generally, each hand luggage must not exceed 20×40×55 centimeters (8×16×22 inches) and should be less than five kilograms (about 11 pounds) in total. Any items that exceed these criteria are treated as checked luggage. First class passengers who hold adult or child tickets are permitted to carry on two pieces of hand luggage. Business or economy class passengers, only one piece is allowed. For a checked luggage, each piece should not exceed 50 kilograms in weight (110 pounds) and 40×60×100 centimeters (16×24×39 inches) in size. Different airlines allow 0 to 40 kilograms' checked luggage for free according to different classes, and you need to pay for the extra. The excess amount will incur an additional charge reckoned by distance and weight: Generally, 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds) costs 1.5% of a full economy-class airfare (one way, adult ticket).

Is this possible to have 2 triple occupancy rooms? Also, I won't know until the end of January so i cannot make a deposit. Is this ok?

Transportation, more specific the flights between cities were so bad with so much delays. The flight from Guilin to Shanghai was too long, we transited in a small city without knowing why. Because of it we lost whole day of the tour. Arrived in Shanghai Airport (it was not Pudong), we did not see the person who supposed to pick us up. Finally we did found her. She lead us to the wrong exit door, walked round and round, asked an airport cleaning lady for direction. After long day traveling more than 10 hours, we had to carry our suite cases from one exit to other exits, this was too much for all of us (nine people).Show more

- Hepatitis A - Recommended for China. Ideally 2 weeks before travel.
- Cholera - Recommended for China. Ideally 2 weeks before travel.
- Tuberculosis - Recommended for China. Ideally 3 months before travel.
- Hepatitis B - Recommended for China. Ideally 2 months before travel.
- Rabies - Recommended for China. Ideally 1 month before travel.
- Yellow fever - Certificate of vaccination required if arriving from an area with a risk of yellow fever transmission for China. Ideally 10 days before travel.
- Japanese B encephalitis - Recommended for China. Ideally 1 month before travel.
- Tick-borne encephalitis - Recommended for China. Ideally 6 months before travel.
Visa
- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 14th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 14th, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Travel China Guide. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Travel China Guide will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Travel China Guide" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
