Itinerary
- Day 1
Jayapura to Wamena
Meet at Jayapura airport at 7AM and you'll have some time before your 10:40AM flight to Wamena. Once you land and get settled at your hotel, head out to Baliem Valley Resort in the late afternoon to catch the sunset. It's a good way to get oriented and see the landscape you'll be exploring over the next few days.

- Day 2
Wamena
After breakfast, travel to Obia Village in the mountains for a private session with the traditional Dani stone burning ceremony. This runs about 4 hours and includes tribal warfare demonstrations, traditional dance, fire-making without matches, and the stone-burning process itself. Then head to the Baliem Valley Festival to see what's happening there.

- Day 3
Wamena
Head north to Jiwika village after breakfast, about a 40-minute drive, to walk through the traditional villages of Sompaima and Anemaugi. You'll see the preserved smoked mummy of Wimotok Mabel, a former Dani leader. In the afternoon, attend the Baliem Valley Festival to take in the cultural events.

Spend your full day at the Baliem Valley Festival experiencing all the celebrations and cultural events happening. This gives you time to really take in what's going on without rushing between locations.

Wamena to Jayapura
Check out of your hotel after breakfast and head to Wamena airport for your 6AM return flight to Jayapura, arriving at 7AM. Your tour ends when you land, so you'll have the rest of the day from there.
