Very informative trip and great that the team were able to adjust our itinerary due to very cold, wet, windy weather. Great new alternates were visited. Mark was a great tour guide
- by Barbara HamptonFrom the moment we were picked up by our driver and tour guide, Mark D., we were well taken care of. It was apparent at every stage of the tour that our safety, comfort and enjoyment was of paramount importance to Mark. He answered all our questions, offered local insight and remained cheerful and personable, even laughing at my jokes. The pace of the tour was just right. Mark often would check in and give us choices for things like breaks for food and restrooms. The itinerary was a nice blend of natural beautiful sights and local history. Cliffs, castles, waterfalls, local walking tours, sheep herding demonstration with border collies, biking the Aran Islands (choose the e-bike, you will thank me), ferry rides, shopping, and great food were all part of our 10 day tour. My wife has bad knees, so some of the walking requirements pushed her to the limit, in some cases, she would stop part way. There are some physical demands, but that is the nature of the geography and how one gets to the best sights. The mid sized Mercedes coach was well equipped and comfortable. Many of the roads are windy, undulating and bumpy, but our driver was a pro. He kept his headset on to give updates on what we were seeing and to answer questions. The accommodations ranged from modern and spacious to cosy and quirky. Breakfast was excellent at each stop. You should find choices to suit your appetite. You will not leave hungry. Lunch stops ranged from quaint cafes with home baked scones and Espresso to carriageway service stops with multiple fast food choices. Come suppertime, Mark would post half a dozen pub and restaurant choices on the group WhatsApp chat. Also a great way for us to share photos with the group and confirm times for leaving, meeting, etc. This trip was well worth the time and reasonable cost. Beautiful island and gracious people. Highly recommended.

The Irish Highlights tour was amazing. Ireland is even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Our Tour Director Jill was amazing. Our bus driver Steve drove the bus like a boss. We saw and did so much. Loved it.

Had an amazing trip!! Was far better than I could have possibly imagined and I would definitely book with Contiki again!!
- by Kat StrainMe and my girlfriend had an amazing time on this trip! It is packed full of activities and the free time add-on options are awesome and not super expensive. The age restriction makes for a quite a lively group, and the guides will show you where to go out at night. Highly recommend this trip!

Take this tour! Amazing sites, wonderful, knowledgeable tour guide. Friendly people.
- by Ann Cook ParkerTLDR: Mother (51) and daughter (25). Amazing guide who clearly loves his home and is a wealth of knowledge. Excellent range of places visited, hit most well-known places and some places we didn’t know. Great mixture of old and new, natural beauty and history. The people on our tour definitely made it as they were fantastic. Ample opportunity for own time as well as group tour parts. We joined this tour in August 2022 as a mother (51) and daughter (25). We spent 49 days touring UK and Ireland and the 7 days we spent on this trip was probably the absolute highlight of our trip. Kieran was our guide and he was fantastic. A wealth of local knowledge (complete with music to match locations!), excellent driver (through some tricky roads – coming from Australia where our roads are rather big in comparison). Kieran knew all the best places to eat and he ALWAYS knew where a toilet was along the entire route. He was friendly and approachable and obviously loved his home country. The bus was very good. We had 9 travelers on our trip which was excellent. We had plenty of space on the bus and it was very comfortable. Due to it being a small bus we could go to places where the larger coaches were unable to go. Day 1: We started at Portumna castle which was very interesting. There is a café here but my mother and I had packed a lunch and ate in the cute little gardens there. We then headed to Galway. The accommodation in Galway was excellent. We had picked the backpacker style accommodation due to cheaper price but in Galway we all stayed in a lovely B&B. We had a lovely room with two beds and an ensuite. The owners of the B&B were very friendly and served some delicious hot breakfast which had many many options. In Galway we had a walking tour with a local guide who was both friendly and informative. Galway would definitely benefit from having more time to explore but afternoon and evening we had to explore were a great taster. There is a shopping centre there which has public toilets but you must have exact change in coins. Day 2: We next went to Doolin and the Aran Islands. We took a ferry to the Aran island which was rather choppy! There are indoor and outdoor seating. Take warm coats and a beanie if you want to sit outside. There are many options on how to see the island, biking, horse and trap, walking or a mini bus tour. There will be heaps of people trying to sell you one when you get off so have an idea of what you want to do first. We elected to take a bus around as A) we aren’t exactly the fittest people and b) we really wanted to see the prehistoric hill fort Dún Aonghasa which is at the end of the island. The forte was absolutely amazing. The climb is tricky but absolutely worth it 100%. It costs 5 euro for adults. There is a little café there where you can get food, there is also a kiosk where we got delicious crepes and they also have ice cream. You can also buy numerous souvenirs including the famous Aran island sweaters. Would have liked to either arrive earlier on the island as the last ferry was at 4pm which didn’t leave a long time for exploring and meant there was quite a bit of anxiety to get back to the port and waiting for our island bus driver to return. There was JUST enough room for the 9 of us to get onto the ferry (in fact they did not let anyone else on after us!). After we returned many of us went back to our rooms for a sleep. My mother and I stayed at the rainbow hostel. Since COVID they only put parties travelling together into a room so while we had a backpacker’s style room there was just us. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in – even better than my bed at home! The tour info states that we would get breakfast at each accommodation but unfortunately the rainbow hostel has stopped serving breakfast since COVID so luckily we had some rolls left that we had for breakfast otherwise we’d have been pretty hungry. Kieran had kindly booked us a table at the local pub where we all ate dinner together. The pub had delicious food and after 9pm had local musicians playing Irish folk music which was fantastic, we sat right next to where they were playing and thoroughly enjoyed it. Day 3: Cliffs of Moher, ferry and sheep dog demo! Most of our party started the day with a hike to the cliffs of Moher where Kieran dropped them of at the best spot to start and as a keen hiker himself had lots of advice for the departing party. He then drove the rest of us to the cliffs. There is an amazing welcome and information centre and the cliffs themselves. After the cliffs we drove to a ferry across the River Shannon. Once we crossed the river, we headed to a sheep dog farm where we had an awesome sheep dog demonstration, met the cutest mini donkey’s, fed some lambs, cuddled a puppy and watched were treated to some performances by the owners of the farm. We then headed into Dingle where we spent two nights. Mum and I stayed at a hotel which had a large 18 bed dorm. The dorm was well set out and provided lovely sheets but was far too big and I would not have chosen this if I was booking dorm accommodation myself (we stayed in many places throughout out trip and many nights in mixed and female only dorms but never booked one so large). On the plus side the breakfast was incredible and I still think about the two breakfasts we had here. It was also a very lovely dining room with fabric napkins and full table service. The front desk and night concierge were also fantastic. It was a short walk into town and close to an ALDI. We had dinner in the Dingle Pub which had nice food and an amazing famous Irish dancer (who unfortunately was rather rude to some other customers!) Day 4: On day 4 we went on an absolutely glorious drive along the dingle peninsula. The weather was beautiful and the views were exceptional. Definitely a highlight of the tour. A bunch of us then decided to go on a boat tour through the dingle Harbour (this is not included in this tour but was something listed an optional extra). Kieran was excellent at sourcing other activities for us to do in down time, he organized a beer tasting at a local bar for one of our other tour members. Day 5: On this day we drove the Ring of Kerry which was spectacular (despite the weather – fog and rain!). we then went to Muckross abbey in Killarney national park. There is an absolutely amazing tree in the centre here – will let you discover all about it yourself! We also went to the Torc waterfall which was beautiful. We also at “Ladies View” and got some amazing photos – our group loved each other so much we took some group shots here. We stayed in a hostel that was primarily being used for Ukrainian refugees. We were provided a private room and got our breakfast supplied at a nice little café down the road. Day 6: On this day we went to the Blarney Castle! We lined up for a while and tried to kiss the blarney stone! It is much harder than it looks particularly for shorties haha. They clean the stone between each person for COVID protection and while the line is long it goes through the entire castle so you get to see the actual castle while you wait. It is quite tricky to climb some of the towers due to the very small spiral stair cases so be careful if you have any difficulty with mobility. There is also a very cool poisons garden! Unfortunately, we only had a few hours here and it was primarily used up with the actual castle so would have been nice to have some more time here however due to the nature of seeing lots on a tour it was enough time to see the highlights. We ended the day in beautiful seaside Kinsale. We all shared a beautiful meal together at Hamlets – our last evening together. Day 7: We ended out tour with two castles! Cahir Castle & Rock of Cashel. Cahir castle was amazing, we did a group tour however I did feel like we had to rush through this castle in order to move onto the next castle tour and to get back to Dublin in time. We did the tour and then had to immediately leave for the next place. We then went to the Rock of Cashel which was one of the most impressive castles we saw.

We were on a bus full of students and families. The bus was full to capacity and the seating was so squashed, people were reclining seats on my legs and i had bruises on my knee caps, when asked to not recline, they said no speak English and laughed. Definitely felt like the minority group. People were eating and drinking on the bus so the bus was dirty. If I had of known their were school students on the bus I would have cancelled and went with another tour group. I felt it was rushed and didn't get to see as much of ireland as I would have liked The tour guide was suited to the Mexican students and families but would have loved to have local guides not Spanish ones. Tour guide read straight out of google no local knowledge at all. I enjoyed the days were we had free time to wander at our own pace. I loved seeing the UK and Ireland just not that group. Thanks

Very friendly guide who made sure everybody had a great time. We were given enough time at each location we stopped at. Ireland is a beautiful place even if it rains and is well worth seeing.
- by richard foxThere really aren't proper words to describe how incredible this tour was. My wife and I returned nearly 4 months ago and we have thought and talked about this trip nearly every day. We saw so many magical, mystical, emotion-evoking things that it's hard to even comprehend. From ancient ruins where High Kings were crowned, to watching passersby while having great food and drinks at a street side cafe, to walking along a serene riverfront, to sipping tea while watching the sunset from a castle, to enjoying superb cocktails with new friends in an amazing library bar. And, that, was just the first day! Experiences like feeling gale force winds against your face, as you stand next to a lighthouse on top of rocky cliffs that plunge down into the cold North Atlantic, are followed by strolls down winding streets lined with quaint shops, before ducking into a pub to enjoy some of the best musicians, fine ales or whiskies, delicious meals, and the nicest, friendliest people in the world. The accommodations were perfect and allowed us to get a good night's rest everywhere we went. And, the included breakfasts were sublime and filling, which was needed for days full of activities. Activities like walking through morning fog so thick that you could barely see your outstretched hand, before the fog began to lift and we were treated to the breathtaking views from the Cliffs of Moher along with the sounds of buskers playing the uilleann pipes. Just to start the day. We trekked through lush forests to see pristine waterfalls, lochs, mansions, and the haunting Muckross Abbey, believed to have inspired Irish author Bram Stoker in his writing of Dracula! We traveled the scenic Ring of Kerry, visited Molly Gallivans to learn about the history of weaving woolen sweaters and their importantly identifiable patterns, and even sample some locally made honey mead and poitin (Irish moonshine)! We walked barefoot on beaches, saw Clydesdale horses, sang songs, shared stories, and had the most amazing time. If you're a Star Wars fan reading this review, then I haven't even told you the best part. While some members of our group chose to stay on land and tour Valentia Island, we took a small boat, optional tour, out to the Skellig Islands (you know, where Rey and Chewbacca went to find Luke Skywalker in hiding)!!! We saw thousands of endangered birds that use one of the two islands as a sanctuary, and were joined along the way by a pod of many dolphins racing with our boat and jumping out of the water all around us! Cows, sheep, horses, cows, sheep, cows, and sheep. Did I mention cows and sheep? Ireland is a relatively small country. It's only 175 miles wide and 300 miles long. It has a population of 5 million people. It also has 5.5 million sheep and over 7 million cows. Wow! I haven't even mentioned Galway, Clonmacnoise, Puck the Goat King, the Charlie Chaplin statue, the Ford Model T statue, the scenic towns of Dingle and Lahinch, many more lighthouses, and so much more! All along the way, we learned a lot about the history and culture of this beautiful country from our fantastic tour guides, Andy and Diarmuid. You guys ROCK! We can't wait to visit again!!!

Everything went perfectly, from the tour guide and driver, to the sites chosen for us.
- by Cathleen HarrisWonderful trip. The guide, Tricia, was such fun and a great storyteller. We saw the many regions and visited some local venues we would never have found on our own. This was our first trip yo Ireland, and would highly recommend it. Great people, beautiful lodgings, and amazing visits. Go on the excursions, they are worth the extra money and add a day onto your trip to see a bit more of Dublin.

The tour was great, first class. Insight is exceptional! Greg Colgin, our tour director was absolutely the best. He and our driver, Raymond added much more to the trip than we can express. We would love to travel with Greg again. The extras that he added as well as his knowledge made the trip for us. Can't say enough about his abilities. He was meant to do what he does!
- by GregWellsI have travelled with Insights a couple of times and we found Greg to be pretty fantastic. We found him to meet our expectations even before we needed something, be perceptive and very accommodating. His knowledge of the locations was beyond our expectations. Great guy and we would have no hesitancy to go on another "Greg Tour"

thought it was expensive for what we had gotten, I'm used to having the majority of the meals provided. also, very very rushed 30 minutes here or 45 there. it wasn't leasurely. too stressful. would help if orders were taken a head to speed up the process.

It was a very nice trip visiting amazing sights. The accommodation in a B&B was really good as well. Special thank you to Markus our guide, he explained very interesting things to us about the places where we visited. Thank you so much Markus!!
- by David Egea MuriasHad a wonderful time! Thanks to TourRadar and to Rabbies for enabling this in the for enabling this tour to happen after I had had a prior tour cancelled. Andy, our guide and driver, was an amazing resource. So facile with the details of Irish History, and so accommodating to individual needs of the people on the tour. He also has a great sense of humor and an enjoyment of life in general and of people in particular. The History, the scenery and the various ports of call on our journey were all so very interesting. Hotel accommodations were also excellent. Pat Curley

Unforgettable Ireland was my first Indus Travels trip and I can't say enough wonderful things about our Tour Guide Lauren she went above and beyond to see that every one of us (21) was happy. Thank you again Lauren for what you do! Bless you and your family!
- by OliviaIndus Travels was a great company to deal with, very helpful and great staff! We were treated so well everywhere we went and really enjoyed the many experiences that we had while there. The value of the tour was really good and I would recommend Indus Travels to anyone looking to plan a trip! The Ireland hospitality was second to none, the guides and bus drivers were so great to get to know and were so knowledgeable! The people we met on the tour and at the restaurants were so kind and had so much passion when telling their story. The landscape, food and people were remarkable and I can’t wait to get back to explore more!

The actual tour itself was good. The tour guide, Laura, was very good. Using the emergency number when there were flight issues was totally unsatisfactory. And once we were back in the US, sending emails to the Collette email which indicates it responds within 48 hours of receiving the email Monday - Friday is not accurate. Our first tour using this tour company is our last .

My clients said that Wilderness Ireland Bike Tours was amazing. There was a small snafu in that TourRadar asked for bike jacket and jersey size so my clients thought they would get those for the tour but that was not something Wilderness Ireland provided. Otherwise, they absolutely loved it. Kathi
- by Kathi PastorThis tour was incredible. Donncha brought Ireland to life in no other way. Literally, nearly a year later and we feel "homesick" thinking about Ireland. The trails were incredible. Every skill level could do the hikes and yet it was never boring. Best way to see Ireland in my opinion. All accomodations were lovely, food was fantastic. Donncha also have fantastic recommendations everyday on where to eat and what to check out in our free time. This will be one I remember for the rest of my life as a top favorite.
