Under the accommodation it says for an additional fee I could upgrade and get a more private room. From checking the availability it allows me to upgrade to a twin room with two single beds which would be perfect for us. I just wanted to check if this upgrade applied to all of the places we would stay or just certain venues?

If you are booking for 2 people, then the twin/double room upgrade is perfect. The upgrade will apply throughout the whole tour.

Can I change the return ticket? What's the flight do you use?

International flights are not included and would need to be booked separately. Our team would be happy to advise you on the best times to arrive and depart for the tour. This tour starts in Hong Kong and finishes in Beijing, so if you want to extend and spend more time in Hong Kong after the tour, this would need to be your own booking.

Last time there were barely any men on the trip. I'd prefer to travel with a few other men as well. Can you tell me how many men/women/binary people have signed up for this particular trip/route?

For the 17 Day China trip departing on the 20th July 2025, there's currently 9 guests. 3 are male and 6 are female. Guests are aged 19 and into their 30's with the majority of them being late 20's, early 30's.

I see any age restriction I am 68 years old would I still be able to go?

This trip can only accommodate guests aged 18-55. However, we do have the 10-Day China Premium Tour: Beijing, Xi'an & Shanghai that can accommodate guests aged 18-75.

Is it possible to pay with a crypt?

Unfortunately, we currently cannot accept payments by crypto. TourRadar accepts bank transfers and credit card payents.

Can I customize my tour to end in a different city?

While direct customization to finish in a different city like Shanghai isn't standard, assistance in arranging travel to end your tour at another location can be provided.

Is there an age restrictions? I'm 50 years old and my son is 14 years old. Can I book this trip?

For this trip, we can accept travellers 16 years and older when traveling with an adult. Since your son is 14, unfortunately, he would be a little young for this tour. However, we do have family-friendly tours in Japan and Korea that might be a great option - would you be interested in learning more about these options at all?

  I am planning to go in June, September-October. The other tour you mentioned does not meet my expectations when I want to see Hong Kong. Why can't you accommodate older people?

  We use youth hostels throughout the adventure and have created the tours with 18-29 year olds in mind. The tours will have 15,000-20,000 steps per day with at times an intense itinerary. Therefore, the majority of travellers will be in this age group. We believe that nurturing the group dynamics is crucial for the overall trip experience so we have created trips that can best cater for both younger and older travellers. Unfortunately, while we have a bit of flexibility with the age limits, we cannot extend this by 13 years.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before October 21st, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after October 21st, 2026, a minimum payment of 5% is required to confirm your booking with The Dragon Trip. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 75 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and The Dragon Trip will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
