I happened to be the ONLY person on this tour which has its pluses and minuses. Side trips cost me more money but having a private guide everywhere was excellent, I got lucky. The hotel in Cairo was not good, location is in the middle of nowhere and the service was just so so. The cruise ship was very good, they are almost all the same, I did enjoy the food. My guide in Aswan and Luxor was amazing, Shahhat, so informative. I was greeted every place I went by a representative of the government travel service from greeting at the airport to my car, back to the airport, to my cruise and off to the hotels too. All in all it was a good tour but a little bit weird as there was not 1 time that anyone actually represented Bamba Experience, they all worked for NTS the government travel service.Show more

This fantastic tour was only let down by a poor experience at the Pyramids Plaza Hotel Cairo. Our booking included all meals, this management seemed unaware of this and attempted to make us pay cash for meals. Most staff were impolite and often ignored our presence. The Hotel is also very dilapidated making it dangerous and a fire hazard. Our remarkable tour representative in Egypt, Mahmoud Fayed, did his best to unsuccessfully right the issue with Hotel management. He then took us out for our meal and relocated us to Tiba Pyramids Hotel for the remainder of our Cairo visit. The Egyptian sites are amazing, Nile cruise very pleasurable and all guides knowledgable and reliable.Show more
