  Is there a visit to a panda sanctuary or not?

  Will we be touring with our luggage a lot? Like will we be rolling our luggage around at the sights and attractions? On the 5 hour train ride can we request a bed or reclining style seat or does that come with it? Same with the high speed train. Are the private airconditioned transportation for our group only? Are laundry rooms or laundry service available at any of the hotels? Are hairdryers provided in the hotels? It shows that I can request my own room for an additional cost just want to make sure that is correct.

    You will not need to carry your luggage around at sights and attractions. On travel days, your luggage will be transported with the group, so you only need to manage it at hotels, train stations, and on the bus.
    
    Regular train (5-hour ride): Seats are typically reserved, but beds or reclining seats may not be standard. We cannot reserve reclining or bed seats.
    
    High-speed trains: These come with reserved seating. Reclining seats are standard, but private cabins or beds are not generally available on this route.
    
    All our private vehicles are air-conditioned and exclusively for your group, ensuring comfort and flexibility.
    
    Most hotels offer laundry services, though availability can vary by property. Some hotels may have self-service laundry rooms or can assist with laundry requests at reception.
    
    Hairdryers are generally provided in the hotels, but we recommend bringing your own if you have specific preferences.
    
    Yes, you can request a private room for an additional cost. This can be added based on availability.

    Is there a guaranteed departure? What if travel advisories turn to red and it is suggested we do not travel to China prior to our departure per gov.com? What is the refund policy if this happens and I guess what is refund policy in general?

    All our tours are guaranteed departures. The only reason we would cancel is if the warnings from the governments were to change and it was deemed unsafe to travel.
    
    Cancellation policy below;
    
    Up to 30th day prior to departure: Your 20% non-refundable deposit is saved on your file as Lifetime Deposit towards a future tour with G Adventures
    
    From 29th day to 3rd day prior to departure: 70% of travel fare becomes non-refundable: 50% cancellation fee + 20% Lifetime deposit
    
    From 2nd day prior to departure up to departure day or in case of no show : 95% of travel fare becomes non-refundable: 75% cancellation fee + 20% Lifetime Deposit
    
    Your Lifetime Deposit will stay on file for you to use as a new deposit for a future G Adventures tour when booked through TourRadar.

  Is there an option to add visits to the Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven? Are there opportunities to enjoy cultural performances like ballet or martial arts shows during the trip, or can the guide recommend places to experience these? Could you tell me about the typical group composition—more women, men, or couples? Also, are there social activities or chances to connect with other travelers outside of sightseeing?

    For those tours the group will visit the forbidden city, in the Summer time since the forbidden city is usually over booked the groups visits the Summer Palace and the Temple of Heaven instead. You do get to see a Chinese acrobats show on day 7, and there is an optional activity to see Bell and Drum Towers performance on day 4. Anything else can be done during your free time and the guide can help book those on tour. For the December 5 departure we have 11 people confirmed on the tour, 5 are solo travellers, 1 pair and one group of 4. A little over half are male travellers. The group will be together for most of the tour except during free time but usually people will pair off if they want to see the same things.

    It would depend on the proximity to the tour start date, essentially as the visa outcome is not our responsibility, if you were unable to get on your standard terms and conditions would apply if you had to cancel. That being said, you can amend your booking up to 30 days before departure, so as long as you do that outside of that time, you shouldn't be impacted too much if your visa was denied.

    Currently we do not have tour starting in Hong Kong and ending in Beijing. We have a 'China Uncovered' tour running on Fri, 28 Nov - Sat, 06 Dec which would require extra flights to the starting point and back to Beijing.

    We offer a Letter Of Invitation that covers all your dates for the tour. Once we have given this document to you, you will then need to apply for the Chinese Visa yourself.

    All international flights to join the tour is additional and you can book this direct with the airline or Tour Radar can help you for this as well. Hotels - if you book pre or post nights with Tour Radar/ G Adventures, we will provide you tour vouchers and invoices to indicate you have paid for this.

    We cannot customise our trips, they only operate as per the itinerary online, therefore this would not be possible. If you wish to visit Guangzhou we recommend that you add extra time after the tour to do this, but this will be something you must arrange yourself.
