Is the China family holiday not available in Dec 25?

Unfortunately, we don't have any departures available for the China Family Holiday during the month of December, including the 25th. If your dates are flexible, we'd be happy to help you look at alternative options or future departures.

Is there a way to personalize a trip? I am a solo traveler and to shorter the duration. Is that possible?

A single supplement is available if you'd prefer not to share a room on this trip. The single supplement excludes Day 2 (Guesthouse) where you will be in shared accommodation and is subject to availability. As this is a family trip -The trips will consist of adults and children travelling together and there must be at least one child under 18 with you. You can also check out for other tours where you will find more solo travellers.

Are you covering china in 2023? I am trying to work out if it is a trip we can do or whether because of the covid situation there no-one is going

We are hoping to run our 2023 trips to China. As it stands, we are planning to do so. However, as some countries such as China have gone back and forth several times with their COVID restrictions, so we are keeping an eye on things closely.

Is this tour good for a solo traveler?

This trip would definintely be available for solo travellers, however since it is a Family Holiday with Intrepid a large portion of the group would likely be families travelling together.

Would we have to carry our own luggage?

Please view the following information from Intrepid regarding baggage handling: "Some easy physical activities are included in your trip. No physical preparation is required to make the most of the journey. Physical preparation: You will be expected to carry your own luggage, including moving about busy public transport hubs, up stairs and escalators and on and off buses and trains. Although you won't be required to walk long distances with your luggage, you are expected to be able to walk and handle your own luggage for up to 30 minutes. Good general fitness and mobility plays a big part in making your trip more enjoyable In some locations it may be possible to hire porters. Please ask your trip leader for help to arrange this if possible but be prepared to manage your own luggage."

Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 15th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 15th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with Intrepid Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
