I need the dates of this tour time about one week earlier, and I would like the itinerary to focus on Hong Kong and Chengdu primarily. I am thinking about three days in HK, 1 day travel and 2 days in Chengdu. Would prefer a small group but private is also possible.

It's not possible for us to adjust the trip date to a week earlier. All of our dates are set for the year. We don't have any trips for what you're asking and we can only do private tours for a minimum group of 4 people.

The recommended age range for the trip is 18-55 with some flexibility. There's a few things to be aware before you decide to join this adventure: The standard accommodation is hostels, with the option to upgrade to a private room within the hostels. During the camping on the great wall, you will be sleeping on the floor in a tent. You will also need a good level of fitness and be expected to keep up with the rest of the group. We use the recommended age range so that people know what group demographic to expect when they join the trip, the majority of people that book this trip will expect to be with a group of people within this age range.

Are there any camping nights included in the tour?

There is no camping included on this tour, this is only a feature of our longer Great Wall tours.

There were several highlights and a few lowlights across the leadership on the trip. Mulan and Summer stood out as exceptional energetic, engaging, and going above and beyond, particularly in Yangshuo, which made that part of the trip especially memorable. Summer was knowledgeable, and creating a positive atmosphere throughout our time in chengdu. However, there were some issues, including lapses in group management such as leaving without a full headcount, and one leader appearing disorganised and overly reliant on maps. It was also disappointing that incorrect information was given rather than admitting uncertainty, and that a discussion about politics was introduced on the final day, which felt inappropriate. Overall I had a great time and would recommend this trip to friends and family.Show more
