Itinerary
- Day 1
Vienna
You'll arrive in Vienna on your own and have the evening free to explore the city however you'd like. Take a walk through the streets if you feel like it, or head to a traditional Viennese wine tavern and try some local wine. It's a relaxed start to get your bearings.

- Day 2
Vienna to Bratislava
Time to get on your bike and leave Vienna. You'll cycle through the flat floodplain landscape along the Danube, pedaling past the Carnuntum Archaeological Park where you can see Roman ruins. After that, continue to Bratislava where the old town is really nice, and you'll see the castle sitting high above the river.

- Day 3
Bratislava to Mosonmagyarovar region
Today you're cycling through the Schüttinsel, an area full of small islands, farming villages, and side channels of the Danube. It's quiet and peaceful with lots of wildlife around. You'll end up in Mosonmagyarovar, a small town with a charming old center and a castle to check out.

Landmarks Schüttinsel - Day 4
Mosonmagyarovar region to Komarno region
More cycling through the Schüttinsel today, this time through forests and past oxbow lakes that are really peaceful. Then you'll reach Győr, a lively city where you can walk around the baroque center with its narrow streets, churches, and old buildings. Later in the day, you'll take a train to Komarom.

Landmarks Győr - Day 5
Komarno region to Danube Bend
You'll cycle along the Slovak side of the Danube on paths and quiet roads that go through small farming villages. On the way, you'll pass the ruins of a Roman fort called Kelemantia. The main stop is Esztergom, where you'll see Hungary's largest church, a big basilica that really stands out.

- Day 6
Danube Bend to Budapest
Cycling gets hillier today as you move through the Danube Bend area with little villages scattered around. You'll reach Szentendre, a quiet town known for artists and galleries, and there's a farm museum nearby if you're interested. As you cycle toward Budapest, the views of the city's landmarks get better and better. Depending on when you're traveling, you might take a boat or train through the Bend instead.

Budapest
The morning is yours to do what you want. You can head back to Vienna whenever it works for you since trains leave every hour and take about 3 hours. If you're flying out, there's regular bus service to Vienna Airport and it's pretty convenient.
