- Day 1
Westport
You arrive in Westport today and have time to settle in. Check out Westport House, then head to a local pub where you'll catch some live traditional Irish music. It's a good way to get a feel for the place and hear what the local music scene sounds like.

Landmarks Westport House - Day 2
Croagh Patrick Walk
After breakfast, you'll transfer to Murrisk on Clew Bay to tackle Croagh Patrick, Ireland's sacred mountain. The hike up this 764m quartzite peak is fairly demanding, but there's a small chapel at the summit. Once you reach the top, the 360-degree views across the landscape really justify the effort. Afterward, you'll transfer to Leenane for the night.

Landmarks Croagh Patrick Clew Bay - Day 3
Killary Fjord Greenway Walk
Today you'll walk along the 'Greenway' on the shores of Killary Fjord. This historic path was originally a famine relief project, and you'll notice mountains rising straight from the water on both sides. After you make your way back to Leenane, spend the evening relaxing with a cold Guinness at an authentic pub in the west of Ireland.

Landmarks Killary Fjord - Day 4
Maumean and Inagh Valley Walk
You'll transfer to the starting point for an ancient pilgrim path walk to Maumean, which locals call the Pass of the Birds. You'll see a small chapel and various religious features linked to St. Patrick. From there, follow the Western Way through the quiet Inagh Valley, walking between the Maam Turks and Twelve Bens mountain ranges. Your day ends in the valley where you're staying.

Landmarks Maumean Inagh Valley Maam Turks Twelve Bens - Day 5
Connemara National Park and Inishbofin Island
Pick-up in the morning for a transfer to Renvyle Peninsula in Connemara National Park. The hike here is relatively easy and offers nice views of Kylemore Abbey and the surrounding islands. After finishing the walk, you'll head to the fishing village of Cleggan to catch the ferry to Inishbofin Island. Once there, you can do circular walks at your own pace, including one past a derelict sixteenth-century barracks. There's also a pub in the village where you might catch traditional music.

Inishbofin Island Exploration
You've got the full day on Inishbofin Island. Pick from two different hikes that you can do at your own pace, ranging from 6 to 15km and taking anywhere from 1 to 5 hours. It's your choice how much ground you want to cover.

Inishbofin to Cleggan
After breakfast on Inishbofin Island, you'll catch the ferry back to Cleggan. Once you arrive on the mainland, you can arrange your own transport to either Clifden or Galway by bus, depending on where you're heading next. This wraps up your time in Connemara.
