Cluj-Napoca to Sighisoara
Your hotel pickup happens at 10:00 AM in Cluj-Napoca, then it's about an hour's drive to Sighisoara. Once you arrive, you'll walk through this medieval citadel that dates back to the 12th century when Saxon settlers founded it. The town's got a lot of history tied to Vlad the Impaler, so you'll learn about that connection as you check out the old fortress. Later that evening around 8:00 PM, you'll get dressed up for The Great Dracula Ball, a themed event with performances, Romanian wine, and spirits running until 1:00 AM. After everything winds down, you'll head to your 3-star hotel right in the center of town.

From there, it's on to Bran Castle, built in 1377 and connected to the Dracula legend. You can walk around the castle grounds where Queen Maria of Romania once spent her summers. The village nearby is known for making traditional cheeses smoked in pine bark, and trying those is worth your time. By 9:30 PM, you're back at Bran Castle for their Halloween Party with a non-guided night tour where you'll encounter performers dressed as witches and fairies. There's local red wine and dancing that goes until 4:00 AM, so it's a late night.
