Beijing
You'll land at Beijing Capital Airport and get transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to rest up and deal with any jet lag after the flight.

Beijing
This morning you'll head to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, then hike up to Jingshan Park where you can see views across the city. After lunch, the afternoon takes you through the Back Lakes area and Nanluoguxiang Alley hutong district, including a stop at a traditional tea house. Evening plans can include a Peking duck dinner if you're interested.

You'll visit the Temple of Heaven in the morning and pop into a jade carving factory to see artisans at work. Later you'll head to Mutianyu Great Wall where you can either hike or take the cable car up. After lunch, there's time to photograph the Bird Nest and Water Cube before heading back to the hotel.

Beijing to Xian
Check out and spend the morning at Summer Palace exploring the imperial gardens and taking a boat ride on Kunming Lake. Following lunch, you'll board a high-speed train heading south to Xian, then transfer to your hotel for the evening.

Xian
You'll see the Qin Terracotta Warriors and have a chance to try pottery making yourself. After eating lunch, you'll visit the Bell Tower and Gao's Courtyard where locals teach paper-cutting and shadow puppetry. The rest of the afternoon opens up for shopping in the Muslim Quarter.

Xian to Guilin
Check out and take a leisurely tour of the Ancient City Wall and Wild Goose Pagoda with its north square. On the way to the airport you'll stop at Hanyang Mausoleum, then fly to Guilin and transfer to your hotel.

Guilin to Yangshuo
You'll board a Li River cruise with lunch served on board, watching the scenery along the winding water. After disembarking in Yangshuo, you can either walk West Street or ride a sightseeing car through town. Later there's a bicycle ride through the Yulong River countryside before returning to Guilin for the night.

The morning takes you to Reed Flute Cave with its dramatic rock formations, then you'll see Elephant Trunk Hill, an iconic Guilin landmark. After lunch, you'll catch a high-speed train to Chongqing and head to Chaotianmen Wharf to board the Victoria cruise at 9:00 p.m.

Yangtze River Cruise

You'll leave the cruise at Maoping and take an excursion to Three Gorges Dam Site. From there you'll transfer to the passenger center in downtown Yichang, then catch a high-speed train to Shanghai where your guide meets you at the station for hotel transfer.

Shanghai
Start by exploring Old Shanghai and checking out Shikumen architecture, then take a walk on the Bund to see the 19th-century trading heritage buildings. You'll continue to Yuyuan Garden, a traditional Chinese garden right downtown. After lunch, visit Jade Buddha Temple and a silk museum. By late afternoon you're at Lujiazui CBD spending time on the Riverside Promenade and heading up Shanghai Tower for views. An ERA Acrobatic Show can round out your evening.
