There were only three of us on this trip. One guide handled Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador; the second guide met us in Nicaragua. The first guide was quite good--a guide who also drove. The second was not as good--a driver who also guided. We had local guides throughout, and they handled the details, especially in Nicaragua. I understand that this is a low-to-moderate trip, but still our introduction to Nicaragua came as a surprise. We made a "beach landing," wading in from about eight inches of water. In general, I got what I paid for.Show more

  If I go on the tour I would need to leave from the airport in Paramaribo on April 3 at around 5 pm. (April 4 is difficult). Do you think the transfer from Cayenne would make it in time?

  We do not recommend this practise, because it is very likely you miss your flight. We always advise having an extra night in Paramaribo just to be sure.
