You'll arrive at Larnaca Airport and get transferred to Nicosia, which is Europe's only divided capital. Your hotel sits right in the old town center, so after you settle in, you'll meet the group for dinner this evening.

Nicosia
This morning you'll walk through Nicosia starting with the ancient Bronze Age sites and the Lusignan period structures. You'll head along Ledra Street and cross the border checkpoint to check out the northern caravanserai and Semilye Mosque. Later you'll see St. John's Cathedral and the Leventis Museum, then grab coffee in the Tachtakalas district to get a feel for local life.

Nicosia to Agros
Start your day at the Archaeological Museum to look at artifacts from Cyprus's history. From there you'll drive north to St. Hilarion viewpoint for views across the northern coast and Kyrenia. You'll visit the Bellapais Abbey ruins in the Kyrenia Mountains, then explore Kyrenia's fortress and harbor before heading to your hotel in Agros in the Troodos Mountains (125 km drive).

Troodos Mountains
You'll travel through the Marathassa Valley to Kalopanagiotis to see the UNESCO World Heritage Site church of Agios Ioannis Lampadistis. After that you'll head to Kykkos Monastery, the largest monastery in Cyprus with its colorful icons and frescoes. The tomb of Makarios III, Cyprus's first president, is nearby (112 km total).

Troodos Mountains
Near Galata you'll see barn-roof churches with Byzantine frescoes. In the mountain village of Kakopetria, you'll walk through the old center and visit Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis church, another UNESCO site. Later in Skevi village, a local will teach you how to prepare traditional Cypriot dishes like tzatziki and koupepia (stuffed vine leaves), then you'll eat what you made with local wine (88 km).

You have the day free in the mountain village to relax. If you want, there's an optional trip crossing the border to Güzelyurt in northern Cyprus. You could visit the former St. Mamas monastery and explore the agricultural region with citrus fruits and strawberries, plus see early Christian basilica mosaics in Soli (120 km if you take this option).

Agros to Limassol
You'll travel to Omodos, the region's most beautiful wine village, for a tour of the Holy Cross monastery and an ancient wine press. Then you'll head to the coast to see the ancient city-kingdom of Kourion with its Greco-Roman theater. At a citrus plantation you'll pick fresh oranges and have a Cypriot picnic, finishing with a short walk through old Limassol (82 km).

Limassol
This is your day to relax at the hotel by the pool or beach. You can also join an optional hike to Aphrodite's Rock, where mythology says the goddess emerged from the sea. The walk takes about 2 hours through forest paths with turquoise sea views and ends with a rustic picnic (80 km round trip if you choose this).

Akamas Peninsula
You'll explore the Akamas peninsula, one of Cyprus's greenest areas and a natural paradise. You'll see the church and monastery carved into rock by the hermit Neophytos in the 12th century. After that you'll walk the nature trail at the legendary Baths of Aphrodite on the northwest coast and learn about local plants, with a surprise waiting on your return (230 km).

Famagusta - Salamis
Today's a chance to venture into Northern Cyprus if you'd like. The medieval old town of Famagusta has impressive stone walls that are pretty striking, and you can walk through the Lala Mustafa Pasha Mosque while you're there. From there, head to Salamis to check out the ancient theater ruins and St. Barnabas Monastery, which sits nearby. The whole trip covers about 240 km, so plan for a full day of driving and exploring around the sites.

You'll drive along the coast stopping at the Ayia Paraskevi church, one of Cyprus's most beautiful Byzantine buildings. After a break at the harbor in Paphos, you'll explore the Roman villas in Kato Paphos and their mythological mosaics. Then you'll see the unique royal tombs carved into the ground like houses where the ruling class was buried (138 km).

Your final day is yours to spend however you'd like. The Amathus district hotel has lots of options: relax poolside, use the well-kept beach, or spend time in the fitness room. That evening you'll join your group for a farewell dinner at a local taverna with traditional Cypriot dishes to finish off your trip.
