- Day 1
Olbia to Cagliari
Your Sardinian journey kicks off with a morning drive south from Olbia. The route takes you through Oristano, a medieval city that's been an important stop for travelers for centuries. By afternoon, you'll roll into Cagliari and settle in at your hotel. Spend the rest of the day getting to know the island's capital, wandering the streets and taking in the local atmosphere of this cultural hub.

Cagliari to Alghero
After breakfast, head north toward Bosa, an old Phoenician city built along the Temo river with a medieval center worth exploring. From there, it's on to Alghero, a compact coastal town sitting on a promontory that looks out over the bay. The town's famous for its coral production, and you can walk through the narrow streets of the walled old town. The evening is yours to do as you like.

- Day 3
Capo Caccia - Stintino - Castelsardo - Palau
Starting after breakfast, you'll head to Capo Caccia at the western edge of Porto Conte Bay, stopping for views of the bay and sea caves. Then it's down to Stintino where the white sand beaches face Asinara Island and you can relax for a bit. Lunch is on your own. In the afternoon, check out Castelsardo, a medieval Genoese town known for local crafts and its position on the coast. Later, transfer to Palau for the night.

These upscale towns sit along one of the Mediterranean's most talked-about beaches with water that's incredibly clear. You'll have free time to spend on the sand or in the water as you like. Grab lunch on your own, then head back to Palau where you'll stay the night.

Begin with breakfast, then take a ferry out to the Maddalena and Caprera Islands. This archipelago has historical significance and you'll find Giuseppe Garibaldi's museum here if you want to learn about the notable figures connected to the area. After lunch on your own, travel to Santa Teresa di Gallura, a dramatic coastal town that overlooks the Strait of Bonifacio and offers views toward Corsica. Then it's back to Olbia to wrap up your tour.
