  1. Day 1

    Hanoi

    Your private driver meets you at Hanoi airport and takes you straight to your hotel in the Old Quarter. From there, you can either rest up from the flight or wander around the neighborhood at your own pace to get a feel for the city.

  2. Day 2

    Hanoi

    After breakfast at the hotel, you'll head out with an English-speaking guide to Ba Vi countryside. You'll meet a Vietnam War veteran who owns a tea farm and learn how tea is picked and processed. Later you reach Moc village where you'll cook traditional Vietnamese dishes and eat lunch in a tropical garden. Then you'll walk through the village to see how locals make tofu and conical hats, cycle through rice paddies, and finish with a traditional herbal feet soak before heading back to Hanoi.

    Hanoi to Sapa

    Get an early breakfast at the hotel and check out. A limousine bus takes you on the roughly 6-hour drive to Sapa through beautiful mountain landscapes. Once you arrive and get to your hotel, the rest of your day is free to explore this charming mountain town on your own.

    Sapa

    After breakfast, meet your guide at 9:30 am to start a 12 km trek through mountain terrain. You'll visit Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai villages where Hmong ethnic minorities live, walking past rice terraces and mountain views. Stop for lunch in Lao Chai village by the river, then continue hiking to Ta Van village where you'll stay with a local family and experience their traditional way of life.

    Ta Van - Sapa to Hanoi

    Have breakfast and head out for your final trek to Giang Ta Chai village, home to the Red Dao minority. You'll trek through bamboo forests in Hoang Lien National Park, pass a waterfall and rattan bridge, and take time to rest and enjoy the surroundings. After lunch, move on to Su Pan village, then drive back to Sapa. Later you'll board the limousine bus for the return trip to Hanoi.

    Check out and get picked up by the cruise team. You'll drive through the Red River Delta with its bright green rice paddies before reaching Halong Bay. Board your cruise and watch limestone rocks and karst grottoes pass by. Enjoy a seafood lunch and relax on the sundeck. Later the boat stops at a secret spot where you can kayak or swim near the grottoes, then return for an early dinner with optional evening activities or free time.

    Wake up early to watch the sunrise over Halong Bay while having breakfast in the dining room. Afterwards, join a Tai Chi class on the sun deck to get moving. Then you'll explore a limestone cave with its stalagmites and stalactites. Check out from the boat and have brunch while sailing back to the harbor, then your driver transfers you back to your Hanoi accommodation.

    Hue

    Join a group tour of Hue, the former imperial capital. Meet your guide at the hotel around 8:00-8:30 am and take a boat on the Perfume River to Thien Mu pagoda, one of the city's oldest temples. Then visit the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled from 1802 to 1945, check out the Royal Antiques Museum with dynasty ornaments, and browse Dong Ba market. After lunch, you'll see Khai Dinh's Tomb with its mix of Vietnamese and European design, then Minh Mang's Tomb showing Confucian architecture. Along the way, stop by conical hat and incense stick villages. You'll get back to your hotel around 4:00-5:00 pm.

    Ho Chi Minh City to Mekong Delta

    Head out from Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho on the Mekong River. First you'll visit Vinh Trang pagoda, a temple from the late 1800s. Then board a sampan and cruise around four scenic islands called Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise. Stop on Unicorn Island to walk country lanes, see orchards, taste tropical fruits, and hear local folk music. Take a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal to see the countryside, visit family businesses and honey-bee farms, and try honey tea and coconut candy. Have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, cycle around Tan Thach village to meet locals and see daily Mekong Delta life (or relax in hammocks if you prefer). Then return to Ho Chi Minh City.

    Could I drop Saps and add a couple days in mid eastern coast of Vietnam. I understand there is major holiday in Vietnam in Feb, what are the dates, I would like to avoid that time.

    • Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
    • Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before March 13th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after March 13th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Responsible Asia. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 35 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Responsible Asia will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
    • The following cards are accepted for "Responsible Asia" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
