How much is the single room surcharge? For the Darvaza Gas Crater, will I be sharing or stay in a single's yurt room? Also, how far away is the yurt away from the Crater?

The surcharge for the single room is 70 USD, and you can select the single room option while booking. The single yurt is up to the availability of the yurts on that day. Our yurt camp is around 380 meters away from the crater.

I am very interested in this tour. I just would like some more information regarding Visa application, probability of the tour happening, if you have a physical location, where to cross the border, etc.

The tour's departure is guaranteed. Regarding the visa process, we will provide the letter of invitation (LOI) approved by the State Migration Services of Turkmenistan. With this LOI, you can collect your visa at the border with other participants. The starting location is the border between Olot/Farap near Bukhara in Uzbekistan. We will create a WhatsApp group chat before the tour so the participants can connect and organise shared transfers.

How does it work with getting the visa for citizens of USA? After you provide the LOI, do we need to apply for a visa with 30-40 days in advance? Do you help us with that process?

How does the covid check work at the border? If someone tests positive do you have to cancel that person's tour? Is there a refund possible in that case, or only through travel insurance?

Is it possible to do the visa on arrival? Can we get support with that?

The visa is on arrival. We provide the visa support (a letter of invitation).
