We enjoyed our trip immensely. We learned so much and loved seeing the beautiful country of Scotland. Ross was a nice person and quite knowledgeable. Unfortunately, it was difficult to follow what he was saying. He went off on tangents, and oftentimes we were confused about what we were supposed to do. Iaian was excellent! Both Ross and Iaian obviously love their homeland. We appreciate both of them sharing the country with us.Show more

The Scottish Isalands an Highlands tour was excellent overall.it included experiences and sites/sights that I was interested in, particularly the archeological stops. The tour, however, is actually three separate tours stitched together, with three different (all excellent) driver/guides and a changing mix of travelling companions. A couple of days involved a lot of driving, but there were frequent stops. To be fair, we did cover a lot of ground, and there was some overlap in the ground/areas covered. This was not really a problem, as weather was quite different (extremely pleasant) returning to Edinburgh, as opposed to rainy and cloudy heading out. Most of the accommodation was quite pleasant, but if you prefer not to be carrying luggage up flights of stairs, you would do well to request a ground floor room. Breakfast most mornings offered a choice of cooked items, but not always. In most cases, be prepared to walk to town center, restaurants, or pubs. Most places we visited were easily accessible on foot, though a few had challenging sections with tricky footing. Weather-wise, it was better than I expected. Each day usually had some sun. And rain. And wind. Fortunately, the wind pretty much kept the midges at bay.Show more

For tours departing after September 20th, 2026, a minimum payment of $400 is required to confirm your booking with On The Go Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 70 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
