  Accommodation was very poor, tour was rushed with too many deviations from original plans. Zero effort made until willing to leave mid tour. Some pax were clearly favoured over others. Never use Intrepid again.Show more

  Good tour, lots of travelling during the trip, consecutive days with 4/5 hours travelling got a bit too much. Felt some parts of the tour could be amended, extra night in Antalya and skip Konya. Tour guide Tariq was a real gentleman and a lovely person, just needed to give more info on optional activities. Felt Intrepid could have done more to help rebook Cappadocia balloon ride, as weather affected day Intrepid reserved and they left it to the group to sort out individually, which was stressful and meant some of group missed out. Also Turkey not a budget destination, inflation running at 80℅ minimum during time of trip with prices increasing weekly. Fellow travellers helped make the trip special.Show more

  We truly enjoyed the Best of Turkey tour with Intrepid. Our tour leader is Livan and he is one of the best, if not the best tour leader we’ve ever had the pleasure to travel with. He is so patient, trying his best to accommodate each and every one of us. He always had great suggestions on where to eat and other places to explore. This trip was a never ending adventure. The one thing that would make this a better experience is to have better accommodations. Most of the hotels we stayed at was not comfortable and needs to be more clean. Also, better to include all the entrance fees of suggested and must see places on each of the places we visited instead of paying it separately. This was to help ensure that we will know nowto the costShow more

We really appreciate your feedback on the hotels used on this tour, this is important as we strive to provide a good level of comfortable accommodation on our original style trips and we are very sorry to hear that some of the hotels have not met this expectation. We will pass along the feedback to our product team who constantly monitor the hotels that we use. Thank you for your feedback regarding the entrance fees as well. For our original style trips we do try to balance free time and included activities on the tour to give our travellers the choice in how they spend their free time so for this reason we don’t include some entrance fees.   This trip was amazing, combining the highlights of Turkey (Istanbul, Ephesus, Pamukkale, Cappadocia) with intimate local experiences like the whirling dervish ceremony, an overnight on a family’s boat in the Mediterranean, and a dinner prepared by a local woman in her cave home. Our guide, Furkan, was excellent at providing historical perspective as well as seamlessly handling the logistics of the trip. Sampling the awesome Turkish cuisine was also a highlight. This tour may not be for everyone as there are some long travel days and a lot of walking, but if you’re up for it you’ll have the trip of a lifetime!Show more

  This tour was well organised and our guide, Livan was very accommodating to our group. The accommodation as part of this trip is mostly good and a few great ones, however I noticed that another Basix tour group also stay at the same hotels as this Original style tour and coincidentally, they were the hotels I didn’t like the most. It would have been really nice if we could stay at a cave hotel in Cappadocia, even at an increased cost, or at least closer to the centre of town as the hotel we stayed is at the edge of town. This tour covers a wide variety of history, culture, and nature of Turkey in 15 days, so I feel like I got to know Turkey quite well. I think some local transfers like the bus between the Bursa hotel and bus terminal should be a private transfer, given how crowded the local bus can be, the size of the tour groups and amount of luggage bring brought on. It severely inconveniences and disrupts the locals’ daily commute.Show more
