Do you have 2026 dates for the Taiwan tours?

We haven't updated the departure dates for 2026 as yet. Will let you know once we finalize the dates and prices for next year. Kindly note that we require a minimum of two people to travel together. If you travel by yourself, we recommend one of our most popular tours Around Formosa Taiwan 10 days tour for you. We guarantee departure for one passenger. Also we have released the dates and prices for 2026.

Just wondering if by November, some of the things might be open because of their earthquake or are they still closed?

Taroko Gorge has been partially reopened since earlier this year, and restoration works are still ongoing. We had clients travel there in April, and they thoroughly enjoyed the breathtaking scenery of the gorge.

Do you have any tours planned in May? Is there single supplement or the option to share. I'm a solo traveler, unless I can talk a friend into coming.

We have 3 departures available in May 2025, please see the below dates: 2 May, 16 May, 30 May. Kindly note that we require min of 2 people to guarantee departure, and we do not provide sharing options, a single supplement is required at the time of booking, we will need to check if any other passengers are booked for the date.

Do you have the availability and when can i book this tour? Is the weather in Taiwan expected to be significantly better in March than February? Are there any anticipated closures of museums or other tourist attractions during the 2/21 tour?

There's no departure on 21FEB 2025, we have 14FEB & 28FEB two departures for FEB 2025. Pricing 2025: AUD$5798 per person based on single room. We require a minimum of 2 people to guarantee departure.

Does it specially include the following, on day 7: Shifen Old Street, to experience the releasing of sky lanterns – a famous tradition in this part of the country?

The Luxury Taiwan Panorama tour does include the release of Sky Lantern at Pingxi on day 2.

Is there any possibility of another traveller who would wish to share on this date?

Unfortunately, we do not provide share option for our tours, we require a single supplement at the time of booking, if you wish to go ahead with a single room, I will check the availability of the departure date.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour with our two guides Joanne and Alan (with one L), Joanne covering Taipei and Alan the island tour. Both guides were knowledgeable and kept us busy and entertained making any changes as our needs required, thank you both. On the whole the accommodation was entirely satisfactory and the length of the tour sufficient. We opted to stay on in Taipei for a couple of extra nights in Taipei to give us time to explore at our leisure which worked out well, in particular a visit to the National museum was had not been included on the agenda. We both found Taiwan very interesting and a bit of an eye opener. Its a lovely clean and efficient island with very polite people and I would love to make a return visit.Show more

For someone new to Taiwan, without a tour guide on the arriving day at the island, one day metro pass given by the local tour agency in an envelope passed to our room via the hotel is of no use. The pass was valid only for that day. I believe the cost of the metro pass was included in our booking fee, but I did not know how to use it and where to go without it. I thought the trip was group touring in a bus when booking the trip. It ended up to be a private guiding tour for my husband and me. The local tour guide spoke English well and took good care of us and tailored the daily agenda to our needs.Show more

Visa
- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before July 26th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 26th, 2026, a minimum payment of $265 is required to confirm your booking with MW Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 65 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
