Porto
You'll arrive in Porto and settle in at your hotel. At 6 pm, meet up with your Tour Director and fellow travelers for a welcome dinner. This is a good time to get to know the group and hear what's coming up over the next week.

- Day 2
Porto
Start your day in Porto with a local guide who'll take you down to the waterfront, where you get views of the Douro River as it meets the sea. After walking through the city center, you'll see the cathedral and the Church of São Francisco, then head to the Stock Exchange. Later in the day, try some local Port wine and take a scenic cruise along the Douro River to wrap things up.

Porto - Aveiro - Coimbra
Travel to Aveiro, known as the Portuguese Venice, and walk along the canals with their colorful Art Nouveau buildings. Pop into a local bakery to try Ovos Moles, the traditional pastry from the area. After that, you'll head to Coimbra for an orientation walk to get a feel for the town and what's around.

Coimbra
You've got the day to yourself in Coimbra with some good options to choose from. There's the UNESCO-listed University to walk through, and the Biblioteca Joanina library inside it is really worth seeing with its historic architecture. If wine interests you more, the Bairrada region is nearby where you can taste wines made in old rock-carved cellars. Both work well as half-day activities, so you could potentially do one in the morning and have the afternoon free. By evening you'll have time to just relax and maybe grab dinner somewhere in the city center.

Coimbra to Lisbon
Drive to Lisbon, Portugal's capital on the River Tagus. A local guide will show you the historic side of the city, and you'll stop for photos at the 16th-century Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries. After that, the evening is yours to explore the city's vibrant neighborhoods and streets however you'd like.

Then it's on to Sintra with free time to check out the UNESCO-listed historical center and grab lunch. Stop in Cascais, the resort town, to browse the center before heading back to Lisbon for a farewell dinner with everyone at a local restaurant.
