Good communication, no last minute changes, I got what I ordered so am happy with the vendor. China Goddess #3, a 5-star cruise I knew would not be a Western luxury cruise but will explain more to manage expectations. I took a taxi to the dock from my hotel for 10 Yuan and was met by the reception who checked me in. I took my suitcase and headed down the (many) stairs when the porter insisted on taking them after my telling him I don't need it. He then wanted 30 Yuan which I refused. First dinner was extra but reasonable price and I was very happy with the buffet. My roommate did not speak English but we got along fine. The main drawback was language and excursions. At the beginning of the cruise there was a meeting in the auditorium for the 20 English speaking guests. There are 3 dining rooms one of which was upgraded (about 150 Yuan to include drinks). The other english-speaking guests must have taken it and I should have done the same because I could not find any english-speaking guests at meals. On arrival, the entertainment director explained that all announcements would be repeated in English and our excursions would have English-speaking guides. This was not really the case. The excursions were the Cave (poor), Three Kingdoms show (good), Three Gorges (poor), White Emperor City (fair).Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before September 2nd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 2nd, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Silk Road Trips. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 70 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
