I wasn’t happy with the guide on the first day when we went to the border. He wanted me to leave the ceremony 10 mins early to beat the traffic back. I wasn’t happy with this as it meant I missed the ending. This tour cost a lot as a solo traveller and coming from Australia it was a long way and even if we did get caught in the traffic going back it wouldn’t have mattered as we weren’t going anywhere else. The guide I had for the golden temple tour was great,a lovely young man. I was disappointed I didn’t get to see inside the temple as there was a long queue. If I knew the temple was open all hours I would’ve requested going at a time when it wasn’t so busy, even if it was early in the morning or late in the evening.
