Furthermore, if you wish to stay at the hotel premises reserved for you in destination B instead of staying at the hotel premises reserved for you in destination "A", the hotel charges at destination "A " will not be refunded to you.

      From a standard restaurant, lunch/dinner buffet or an ala carte can be bought for around 10$-12$. Rice along with Sri Lankan cuisines are available in plenty of shops much cheaper than standard restaurants but those are too spicy.

      Major archaeological sites such as Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura accept foreign currency and all national parks only accept Sri Lankan currency. So you can avoid inconveniences by having both currencies with you.

      It is very difficult. Card payments cannot be made at any local sites controlled by the government agencies. For example, Elephant Orphanage/National parks, Sigiriya fortress etc. Card payments can only be made at certain stations for tourism activities promoted by private agencies. The best way is keeping cash on hand.

Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
    • Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before May 13th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 13th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with showlanka tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and showlanka tours will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
