We chose this tour based on its photos, description, and positive reviews, expecting a premium cruise experience. Unfortunately, the actual cruise did not match what was advertised. Halong Bay itself is absolutely stunning, and the itinerary and activities were enjoyable. However, the boat felt dated, overcrowded, and nowhere near as luxurious as the listing suggests. The cabin was acceptable, but future travelers should know that the beds are more like sleeping mats/futons rather than traditional mattresses. The experience was further affected by several service issues. The confirmed hotel pick-up did not happen, and our clients were asked to go to a different meeting point. On the return trip, the bus was changed to an older vehicle that was uncomfortable and had an unpleasant smell. Most concerning, the boat experienced a significant impact during the journey, causing passengers to be jolted, and our clients sustained minor injuries. Safety should never be compromised. The food was disappointing, with small portions, very limited variety, and almost no healthy options. We were also surprised that even bottled water and coffee were charged separately. For a tour at this price point, we believe complimentary drinking water should be provided. Overall, the experience did not reflect the premium product shown in the listing. There is a significant difference between the marketing and the actual tour, and we hope the operator updates the description to better set travelers’ expectations.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before December 4th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after December 4th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with LVP Travel. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 125 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
