    Judith

    Asked on January 12th, 2025

I want to take my 75 year old father with my husband and I on a trip to Bhutan as a bucket list trip for my dad. I am concerned about him not being able to handle the hiking at elevation but I want him to be able to see some of these sites. Is there options for other transport or is hiking the only way to get to some of these places?

    • Bhutan Acorn Tours & TravelOperatorWritten January 2025

We would be absolutely thrilled to welcome you and your family! It would be our honor to help fulfill your beloved father's bucket list and ensure that this journey becomes an unforgettable experience for all of you. Even if he does not want to do the hiking, you will have a dedicated vehicle throughout the trip so the driver can take him around to enjoy the sceneries while you are hiking. If he is not interested in hiking to the Tiger's Nest, the driver can take him to visit Dzongdrakha Monastery, also known as 'Mini Taktsang' because of its location on a similar cliff but it is easily accessible.
